Now that Fidel Castro has handed over the reigns to his younger brother, it may be about time that Rucci handed over his Cheif Football Writer job to someone else.

Castro lost the ability to govern his nation. Rucci has lost (if he had it) the ability to write a column about the Crows without some form of negative, childish comment.

Rucci has been chief Football Writer of the Adevertiser since 1993. Like Castro who took over Cuba in the 60s it may be time to move on? Perhaps someone with less bias could take his job. Someone who is not the leader of the Port Power cheer squad.

It is clear to see that this years agenda is "Signing Neil Craig" after last year being "No Shows to Sold out Crows games"

How about reporting some of the important new Rucc. Like Ports overuse of Handball in its first hit out or their Captain only having a one year Contract or maybe even the Crows lack of Ruckman, when an experienced one was availiable for nothing on the trading season.

he is attempting to undermine the AFC. Craigys contract wont be looked at till 2009, when it is up for renew.Neil Criag is ahppy with this as is the AFC. He knows that yet wants to upset the apple cart by starting a campaign to have Craig get a contract this year.

Last years "campaign" by the chief Football writer was Adelaide's Crowds to sell out games being on average 42000 when Footy Park capacity is 52000.

BTW Ports Average was about 30000 with its best atteneded match being our average. But That is never mentioned.

Chris McDermott....unlike a lot of Crows people I agree with most of what he says. His perspective is more of what a player expects, he has no comprimises

Rucci just loves to stir the pot. Wouldnt be an issue if he was not the number one Footy Writer in our State, most of his articles belong in the Confidential section. He is a good writer and knows the game well. Just a pity most of his articles have that niggle in them.

Zac Milbank and Andrew Capels articles are far better, even the Port ones are good to read.

Rucci was brought up on soccer as a kid and the closest he ever came to a football was when he walked past Rowe and Jarman. Not only is he biased to Port (Powertiser) but he is an absolute tool as well.

To be honest most intelligent people can see right through Rucci's rubbish and see the clear agenda (that even includes a large percentage of Port supporters), its only the dumb and illinformed that cant see it and all you have to do is look at who defends him and claims he is unbiased because it totally validates the point

It was only last week that he his now trying to claim that the 1997 and 1998 premierships are contentious because of Darren Jarman because we supposedly illegally obtained him WTF

Port fans and the club have it easy with Rucci, why else do you think that the "only 1 vote for Tredders as captain" senario went totally ignored in the Advertiser and if it wasnt brought up in the Vic paper it would have gone totally ignored throughout the footy world even though most Port supporters were asking questions why Primus was the captain. When it came out Rucci seemed to know all about it so he obviously knew and kept it suppressed whereas if it happened at Adelaide he would have written for weeks about it.

and interstaters need to know that Port have it so good in the media that as soon as anyone writes anything negative they want they hung, drawn and quartered, like when Andrew Jarman gave lower and -1 in his performance the port board exploded.
