Now that French has gone, who do you think will be in line for the ruck job(s)?

Myself, I would like to see Lade get back to rucking; I never liked trying to place him up forward. I would like to see Primus rested more often and Brogan used as a 3rd ruck in some games.

I doubt if the option of 3 rucks will often, if ever be used. In order of use in case of supension or injury I would expect our rucks to be Primus, Lade, Brogan and Ackland.

I'd say Brogan will be told the 2nd ruck spot is his if his form warrants it.........basically it's yours for the taking............

but it will be between him and Lade as to who gets that spot............and there will be times when all 3 play depending on match up's and injuries........

As for Ackland it's big break for him..........but barring injuries he will see little game time after the pre season.........

Ackland has to do what Brogan done. Show you can do it regularly in the SANFL and your chance will come. Didnt have a brilliant season with the Magpies, but finished the last 3 games with top votes in the magarey. Now he only has Lade and Brogan to vie with for the second ruck position.
IMO Barry Brooks left for the saints only as there is more chance of playing AFL than he had with Port where he was sixth in line. And most probably will get a game next season, instead of maybe waiting two or three years at Port.
Lade should get the second ruck position ahead of Brogan, and will show the benefits of a full years footy next season.

At the end of the day Wilson and Lade will make the difference as to us winning a premiership or not.
We have been looking for that tough midfielder, well with Hardwick and Pickett, Wilson can now play there. He is usually fit enough. Lade has had his one season back, now with that behind him and a full pre-season he must come up, we all know he is able to.

Michael Wilson embodies the heart and Port Adelaide spirit that our critics have said we've been missing. They've been right, and this year they'll see just how right.

Wilson will make a huge difference. At training late in the year he looked the fittest i'd ever seen him, infact looked about the fittest i've ever seen anyone, if his form can go anywhere need matching his fittness he will have his best season by far.

As for the ruck options, i think Matty will lead it, and i wouldn't mind seeing Brogan get first crack as number 2. Leaving Ladey to get some form back at South at the start of the year. Ackland will now more than likely stay on and be the 4th option, hopefully his late form of season 2002 will continue.
