Rudd Wins!

In relation the the politics, I've been saying for some time now that Rudd would make a better opposition leader than Beazley. Gives Labour a much better chance at the next election.

Condolences go out to Kim and his whole family for the loss of his brother.

Rudds a nancy boy.

I just wonder how soon before the election Labour start moaning about possible Liberal leadership challenges.......

That's disappointing... Big Kim deserves at least 2 or 3 more shots at the top job.

Bugger of a day for KB, puts life into perspective.

Not a fan of KB, but Rudd is a two faced git... he and wee Johnny are two peas in a pod. They both think they are being clever, but they are so transparent and dishonest.

Interesting. We know from the public record, "Honest" John is dishonest but from where do we have that Rudd is dishonest. Please explain.

Good result for ALP. Now game is on!

Beazley will quit at the next election
If Beazley quits at the next election who's that leave with ministerial experience? Crean? Regardless of the party, for myself, if there's a change of government after 10+ years I like to see at least a couple of people in either leadership or ministerial positions that have been ministers previously.

I'm too lazy to research, how many of Howard's 1996 ministry had that kind of experience?

Why?

What difference does it make, its not as if we are talking about teenagers

Very good result in the end. Rudd is the future. Beazley is not. Its that simple. Rudd is a very likeable person really. He has a personality and in his case wont get Rove and Karl Rove mixed up ;) .

I just wish he would piss off that Julia Gillard. A hack

Your kidding right?

Duncan Kerr
John Faulkner
Robert Ray
Bob McMullan
Carmen Lawrence

Nick Sherry, Warren Snowdon and Arch Bevis have been Parliamentary Secretaries. Not the most impressive bunch, but I would put Kerr, maybe Lawrence and if he's interested Faulkner back on the frontbench.

Howard and John Moore.

edit: Dave beat me to it.

Listening to the press conference before I had this eerie feeling I was listening to a husband and wife.

Kevin spoke very well, whether that was because he was a new voice or he actually said things in a more positive confident manner I am not certain.

What I am certain is if he follows up with his quick spiel in policies he may snatch the next election

A new Federalism and stopping the blame game in regards to Federal/State issues makes for good copy

Just had a thought. If Beazley decides to retire immediately, what are the odds of Tinley being catapulted into Brand?

I heard the craziest thing tonight.

The WA Branch of the ALP are working on Geoff Gallop, apparently his health has recovered to the point he is thinking about returning to politics.

Don't laugh - remember Cheryl Kernot's {edit Spelling}

Well Carmen 'I can't recall' dit it.

Be the only way Rudd being part of the government for at least the next two elections

Try again. Prepare yourself now. Time is up. It's over.
