Short World Cup for the Wallabies when an afterthought team can rack up 21 points.

The Saffas had the Blacks at the start in the forwards but the Blacks played the penalty game nicely.
After taking the saffas heat the blacks pushed it wide and broke the line far to easily and jumped to a 14 point lead at half time.
After the half the saffas came out and used their forwards again and got a try.

The bulk of the 6 nations come out to play on Sunday with Ireland and Scotland clashing in the days biggest match. England get their Group play underway and would expect to come away with an easy win, likewise Italy.

The biggest sporting tournament in the world that doesnt include diving and/or lycra and we're only 6 pages into the thread. not even listed in the site banner. poor victorians don't know what they're missing.
good opener with an entertaining japan getting the job done. i'm a bit miffed the pumas fell short, but some delightful rugby from france in the first half. the fijians came out on fire but good signs in that second half for the wallabies. and the saffas just look a bit bereft of attacking flair to really challange for the cup.
Been good viewing so far, here's to a great world cup and somehow a wallabies miracle.

They were their normal best and played the game on their terms for 60 to 70 % of the game.

One thing we have seen from the games so far is that free running could be this World Cups win.

Australia's two biggest sports are at their business ends. Will get more attention when they're done.

There is at least three banner options that link to this board (Live Scoreboard, and two direct links) if you don't opt out or dismiss them. One is permanent but with the opening in the middle of the Prelim Finals focus will be elsewhere to begin with.

The France/Argentina game was exciting to watch and came down to a missed penalty and could be the difference between making the Quarter Finals and going home early. New Zealand sent an early warning that they will be hard to beat and Australia shook off their rust before running away with the game, they will be happy for the challenge of the first 50 minutes rather than blowing Fiji away. They get to learn something from the game.

Japan vs Russia was a great example of why Tier 2 teams need more games against Tier 1 nations, the improvement will come in time and Rugby will be better for it

Yep, I think a few of the Northern teams will struggle changing to this style of Rugby and will be caught between the two.
