Rules to live by...

With our younger audience in mind, I thought perhaps we could compile a list that will benefit others in their daily life.

This was in part inspired by a young fellow I saw on the train today.

Just because you can grow facial hair doesn't mean you should.

When facing a tough decision: if you don't know, the answer is no i.e. if you're not sure and you can't decide, then don't do it. Simple. Someone told me that at 17 and it has served me well. Also, be good to your siblings because when you grow up they will be there for you. This was told to me when I was about 14 and fighting a lot with my sister and brothers (as you do) and I honestly couldn't imagine the truth in these words. My friends from school were like my family and 22 years later I'm still really close to nine of my school mates but I have to say I am very close to my siblings too and that has been really important as an adult. Finally, make the most of your education - don't waste it!

Haha I made that joke in a group at uni today about "how can you tell a first year at uni?" and made reference to the final year rugby top. I didn't realise that someone in our group of 3rd years had rocked up and was wearing their year 12 top to my left....the point still stands though!
