Every year we get the 'Goddard to Carlton' rumour. I've heard it all before, he was the #1 pick we had taken off us on Black Friday, his whole family are Blues tragics, mum still buys blues memberships, even seen posts on the boards from people who sit next to her at the games. Who knows, i actually didn't believe these rumours the first time i read them. But i have thought about it in much more depth and i said "why wouldn't he?" We have a promising side, promising up and coming youngsters and a few A grade players, so who wouldn't want to come to Carlton right now.

I really hope that the rumour of Goddard coming to Carlton is true this time. He would slot straight into the defence, would be quite a handy pickup actually.

And every year the shit-stirrers who rekindle the rumour sit back and enjoy the entertainment of posters saying "every year..................."

There is no rumour. But it's interesting to hear people's opinions on the possibility of pinching a player some thought was rightfully ours in the first place.

While I consider Goddard a very good backman, he is more a flanker or back pocket than KPP.

Carlton are currently very well served for that type of defender.
