I was down my local dog beach on sunday and bumped into Freo's Stephen Hill who has a dog called Kouta. I asked him if that was after our Kouta and he said he got the dog before he was drafted and was a massive Carlton supporter.

When we pick up Goddard next year to play for his beloved blues we my as well pick up Hilly.

Hope this Pans out as Setanta is more important to us than Brock IMO.

Hypothetically in the Mclean-Campo fiasco, do nominated rookies (promoted to the senior list) get the same pay as, say, McCarthy?

If so, the main reason for upgrading Tuohy is job security but if Brock has to be paid out, it's not like we'd be in much of a position to offer Zach much extra dinero.

I think we'd be better off considering an extra live pick. Given the supposed shallowness of the draft, a smokey might fall our way.

Seriously though we all have opinions and yours is fine but i still see a spot for Setanta in our team IF ( and a big if ) we get him back.

If we don't no harm done and i like many other supporters of our club wish him all the best after his roller coaster ride that he endured with us.

Very interesting, usually listen to 3AW but missed it tonight. Whispers is often on the money. How can he move to Essendon? Would have to go through the draft system and open to any club picking him, but then again how many would seriously be interested?

EFA - The only way for it to work is to renegotiate a termination payment with McLean (similar to Fev/Lions but with Macca coming to the party as he'd want to be released). .. McLean would then need to have an agreement with Essendon that they'd pay him enough to make up for losing the 200k from Carlton. ..

I'm not sure too many other clubs would look at him anyway, just quietly.

Hmmm interesting, thanks for the info TG, will be good to see how this pans out. If it does end up eventuating Id like to see Tuohy get upgraded. Firstly I think he deserves to be upgraded, and secondly are we not better off to do it this year in a weaker draft than be forced to do it next year in a stronger draft?

McLean is going to Abu Dhabi next week so I don't see why they would waste their money sending him overseas so he can go to the bombers.
