Rumour has it several big name players are to be joining the Southern Sharks at the end of the year..............

Who could they be? What teams do they represent? Could they be former Sharks themselves? All in time we say, all in good time. Be aware other clubs we are not satisfied with our current test situation and will look to become a stronger outfit.
 
Ooh I'm scared how will I persaude our top players to stay at the most succesful club in the history of the comp, a club currently sitting 2nd in both leagues with a star studded line up when they can join the mighty Sharks.

Hello Kelly my old mucker, how the devil are you?

I think you'll find that there's 3 Test trophies sitting in our boardroom.

We may not be reigning champs but even we can't win every year, we still fought tooth & nail to make the GF & try to hang onto our crown, we're a proud club.

I'd be working on my bowling if I were you, remember the flogging you got when we last played you & rattled up 511/4d, it probably still keeps you awake at night I'd have thought.
 
I'd say 5 or 6 of our players have been contacted by several clubs. Wouldn't be surprised (But would be dissapointed) if 2 or 3 left. However got a couple of players lined up so all should be good ;)

If I were you I'd be trying to keep all players. Some of your players are every captains dream.

Mmmmmm, I have to agree there. I know who teams have their eyes on, and not just the obvious ones of spell_check and phil but then you have several others who we must keep but they know if we stick together we will win premierships
 
Hmmm, never mentioned names but it's not hard to guess. CarterS would be the only Allies player worth going after. Cant see why him or Homer Jnr would want to stay when they both would get a lot more games at other big clubs. Craig Ryan, I am concerned about but will not beg for him to stay. If he wants to leave, he will. I'm sure Total Power has been heavily targetted aswell. Got a feeling the great man will stay on board though ;)

You're team is great. High posting players are fantastic to have. Gotta get a bit smarter with selections (That'll come with experience of this year), sign 1 or 2 good players and you'll be up there with the great clubs.

Yeah we have plans to get them more game time though.

Expect to see Homer take the gloves for next season.

CarterS will get a run from now on.

To be honest I'd be in favour of bringing back the 2 non pure player rule, dunno if you'd agree but for me it would do 2 things firstly it'd make packing the batting pretty difficult, which would keep the realism more.

But also & more importantly the way tactics have evolved, teams, especially the succesful ones, are playing only 1 or 2 kinds of line up.As some of the newer teams pick up on things we're all going to be playing the same way & every game will just be a toss of coin, you won't be able to outsmart people.If you bring back 2 non pures the amount of variations of line up means that people will be trying really different things & we'll all have to learn what works & I don't think they'll just be one or two.I reckon for different pitches different things will work differently & it'll make things more interesting.

Like you could play 2 non pure bowlers, 2 allrounders, one of each, even maybe try a batting allrounder as one of them.Also would you play 5 batsmen or 6, or could you get away with 7(doubt it).

To me it would freshen things up & make it more of a squad game, you'd have to think hard at the start of the season what player types to get on board.Whilst now it's a no brainer, you get a load of pures with only one or two non pure players.

Can't see TP going as for the great one who knows, I'm sure he'll enjoy leaving everyone is supsense.
 
Haha, 2 non-pure rule would suit as down to a tee. Have always wanted to play A-Mac but I have extra stats so it was hard for him to get a game in the tests. Have done it before though (Played 2 all rounders) so I'd be in favour for it however I may be changing roles next year so it may not worry us ;)
 
Once you've played for the Allies you're not going anywhere else. Dipper's mother just cooks the greatest bacon & eggs I've ever tasted of a morning.

Well I dont think there is anything I could say to make him stay. Yourself, D4E and him have kept together so really its up to him if he wants to continue the bond.

Not Really, CR is a star and D4E is an excelent and dedicated player, I'm honoured to play with both ( and let me say that there are WSC players I've only been with a season that are great team players), so for both of them, although I'd love to continue playing with them, I will respect their decisions and cherish great memories if it comes to that.

Dont worry CC and Frodo, you've still got Ian Bell coming in at 7.

Just get some lower order bats who can stick around and we'll be fine.
 
Rumour has it that the Sharks star Keeper will be traded at seasons end or, even delisted, if a deal cannot be striked.

In other news PhilHawk has been retained until a replacement keeper can be found.
