For those interested in following Rupe's post Pies career, he is part of a current exhibition at Alcaston Gallery in Brunswick Street, Fitzroy. Tomorrow at 2.00 he will be featured at the gallery, in a 'meet the artist' session:

His first solo exhibition was titled 'After Collingwood'.:)

Always liked him, another different cat.

Always gave everything, I too was a bit miffed when he was delisted. I thought he could have easily stayed on the list for another couple of years.

What position did he play? AFL live has got him as a HBF.

Looks like a disturbing anatomical football field actually. Either says something about what's going on in his head or possibly what's going on in mine.

Probably a bit of both. Reminds me of the curry I ate last Friday night. Wasn't so nice coming up the other way.

Ha ha! Dont go there! The title of that painting is actually 'rebirth'. In all seriousness, the footy field/merged with a sherrin appears to be a recurring theme in some of Rupe's work, at least in the pictures featured by the gallery. Maybe he offers a legitimate alternative artistic perspective on footy? Many indigenous artists document our beloved game. See here. Some fabulous stuff!

I think Andrew Williams took his position in 03 when he came in from WCE
