Rupe was one of my favourites.
Was spewing when he was delisted.

I will always remember him in the '02 qualifying final against Port over there. Kicked the first goal to get us going.

Always gave everything, I too was a bit miffed when he was delisted. I thought he could have easily stayed on the list for another couple of years.

Pretty sure Rupe was up in Darwin playing for Palmerston Magpies maybe a couple of seasons ago.

Ha ha! Dont go there! The title of that painting is actually 'rebirth'. In all seriousness, the footy field/merged with a sherrin appears to be a recurring theme in some of Rupe's work, at least in the pictures featured by the gallery. Maybe he offers a legitimate alternative artistic perspective on footy? Many indigenous artists document our beloved game. See here. Some fabulous stuff!
