Collingwood have a habit of picking up mature smaller forwards. (Medhurst)

Medhurst is just shy of 3 years younger than Robertson, has no significant injury history, and was thrown in as the steak knives in a deal that got Pick #8 (Ben Reid) to the Pies for a player that was a negative influence on the list and club culture.

We don't need any more forwards, especially older, injury riddled ones.

Not surprisingly, in dealing with WCE and Freo in the Tarrant trade, we were bargaining for Matt Rosa and Byron Schammer. Medhurst was seen as acceptable because Didak was going to be on the road to recovery from an ACL reconstruction, and his 2007 output was always going to be significantly less than his best.
