I actually would like to see him retire. Apart from the last two games of the year, he had a woeful season. I would hate to see a player of his standing have a shit season next year, and be remembered for that.

Sad for it to end this was if its the case, but could well be a blessing in disguise for Truck.

Ps. I think there could be a lot of cred to this post. I doubt a bloke from another club would come onto a board and announce a club champ is set to retire without muh backing behind it.

Seriously, getting reamed by Sellar means the writing on the wall. Brilliant finals series was the last hurrah.

I thought Rutten had a good year. He is slowing up but he is still vital to the Crows. He's a great player and anybody who knows the game/watches him closely can tell that.

People seem to forget he didn't have a pre-season at all and with this in mind I think he had a solid year. Not great, not poor either.

His finals series, however, was vintage Truck and shows he still has something to offer should he get a decent pre-season behind him.

There's no doubt you call it as you see it. Credit where it's due. You're not afraid to go against the masses either, which is definitely a positive in my books.
