Has been an ABSOLUTE GUN since moving into the midfield. AA form.

His stats since Round 6, in which Bazza and Micky came into the side and O'Keefe went into the middle permanently:

27.29 disposals per game
9.71 contested possessions per game
5.43 marks per game
6.43 tackles per game
4.71 clearances per game

These are just about elite stats. His best seasons to date. Masterstroke to put him in there. If he keeps it up, AA beckons.

He is a freak! happy i picked him up in round 7 for dt and sc! im devo he didn't come to essendon! one of my favourite players

Was good last night.

Didn't really seem to have a huge impact on the game to me for someone who racked up 40 possies. Might have come across different on TV, but I couldn't believe he had had that many.

Should he continue this form he'd have to be pushing for an AA position at the end of the year. First 6 rounds were obviously nothing special due to the absences of MOL and Baz at different times, but he has just been so dominant he'd have to be in contention (should this form continue).

Agreed. Kirk's 41 I could understand, he was brilliant and was constantly in it, but I think O'Keefe's were mainly dinky handballs to someone, receiving it back, and getting a quick kick away.

Actually, checked the stats, had 26 kicks and 15 handballs, whereas Kirk had 19 kicks and 22 handballs. Interesting that Kirk appeared more influential with his kicks.

Kirk may have a poor kicking style but he's actually very, very accurate. He has brilliant awareness and reads the play beautifully. It's pretty rare for him not to find a team mate or put the ball to advantage.

I agree about ROK too, he had a great game but got a lot of cheap handball receives out the back.

Nah his settled in Sydney..
Don't trade ROK.

He'd be 30 years old by the time GC played a game though. Can't see them splashing out a decent draft pick for someone that age.

He's been good since the form swing, but his first few rounds were pretty ordinary so I don't think he is in AA contention at the moment.

But (and I think I argued this with you on the main board earlier, but it may have been somebody else) it wasn't a form swing; it was a positional swing. He went from playing essentially as a forward pocket, out of necessity, to being freed up to play midfield, and has since dominated. If considered for the midfield, you then take his midfield performances, and his midfield performances have been absolutely fantastic.

Agreed. Once he moved to the midfield (which I suspect was some sort of deal done with Roos after the trade went belly-up?) when players came back he has been great. Not surprisingly it was about this time that Goodes really started to get back to his best. It's a great shame that we have some really good midfield form from Goodes, ROK and Kirky, but we're not getting results.

Imagine this...

Goodes in Geelong's midfield.
I would shit my pants if I was the opposition.
