If Lynch go , he will be good for Stop gap with GC.

you would want to match the offer then cos any free agents in hurts compo for losing a free agent

either way i think suns will match the lynch bid to get more
Could well be delisted free agent .As much I hate them winning so many flag , Hawthorn are a club that get thing done very quickly .( Very Professional ) apart from O Meara deal .

This guy is poop.
He reminds me of Ben Griffiths.
How he has lasted this long on an AFL list is only because he is a tall.

That is the reason he is a stop gap and allow young KPP time to mature .

Actually quite Loyal the Shoey. Has Knocked back a number or 3 year deals over the last 5 years to stay a hawk. Id expect someone try again but i'm hoping hawks cuts the crap and puts 2 yrs In-front of him min.

He was one of the best players in the 2015
Grand Final. He’s not A-grader or superstar but as a 3rd tall forward he performs his role.

I think with Tim O’Brien being a failure it might give shoey another year, once Mitch Lewis is upto it I think they’ll phase shoey out

Its no coincidence that our forward line has looked more functional with Schoey up forward.
Has allowed Rough to play further up the ground and in the middle.

He aint getting delisted......will get at least another year extension, and if history is anything to go by I doubt he will leave as a FA.

If only we were able to play him exclusively as a forward early in his career, he would be a lot better than some on here give him credit for.

Delisted FA - I dont think so Tim

Have you seen our forward line stocks

and as for the JOM deal.....I would have walked him to the PSD.
who was going to take a chance on a bloke that has dodgy knees and hasnt played for 2 years without doing a medical on him.
You lucky you got what you got from my perspective.

As for O Meara too bad you did not walk him to PSD. I never said Shoen will be definitely be free agent , I said could .

He has more value to hawks than any other club, Loyal player wont leave and with the hawks now having cap room he will be kept on and get a new contract

Not if Lynch is on board.
Yes he will

The space he opens up for Gunston, Breust etc allows them more room to move

It’s no coincidence that when Shoey has played we’ve kicked over 100 pts every time, and won all games he’s played in

Is a beautiful kick of the footy

He’s no star, but vital for us in our forward line

The only reason he's still on the list....Missed 2 chances today that could have cost us dearly....Should have been traded 2 years ago to Adelaide for a second round pick....Zero difference between what both he & Tim O'Brien have to offer....And besides, Mitch Lewis will be taking his place in 2019 anyways.

List clogger at best & always has been.

Cmon mate, too many red wines celebrating our win over the enemy today?

He's not known colloquially as 'Clangers' for nothing.....Worst performed player from a KPI index perspective on the ground.....And from a bloke with 10 years AFL experience, over 100 games & in his prime at 27.....Simply not good enough.

You've been swallowing too much of the pro-Schoey bath-water from over on the Hawk board.

Shoey would be a good fit with the Gold Coast. Would provide another marking forward, or could be used as a stop gap measure down back. If Gold Coast can lure mature players that can play a role, into the club, it just may help them in the long run.

suns have wright.young.crossley.will draft king.an have day.. thats enough talls...they don't need a 27 year old list clogger. lol.

good on shoey for making a life out of footy.truth be he is god awful.

He would be perfect for Gold Coast plus he could supplement his income as a meter maid. He has struggled with injury over the last few years, this could put Ryan off going to Gold Coast.

I'm thinking straight swap for Tom.....and we'll throw in Duryea & Whitecross for good measure.

A good, workmanlike KPP. Does his best work for Hawthorn as a deep target-man, creating a contest and spillage for his small forwards - but that's not his best individual role.

Has given up a hell of a lot of his career for the Hawks, firstly playing as an undersized KPD (when he had a HFF body), then played through ongoing hip and groin injuries as we had no-one else. Has struggled with the aforementioned injuries, which combined with a long-term achilles issue has robbed him of so much mobility and running capacity, but is apparently almost back to full-fitness and we are now seeing him move around the ground a bit better.

Despite this, mentally he's still the tallish-HFF he was before his draft - a fantastic field kick (overall, not just for a KPP) good endurance and workrate, ok mark. If he could play as a leadup CHF or HFF linkman (think the other Tom Lynch) this would be his best role IMO.

Has previously turned down 3yr contracts to leave Hawthorn, despite Hawks offering less $$ and years. Hawthorn (still) need him and with the lack of development of O'Brien, the deterioration of Roughead and Lewis still being 10kg (two seasons) off being competitive I think Hawks should offer him another 2 years, but even a single year contract could be enough to keep him. If Hawks do get the GC Lynch, Ryan may be encouraged to look for a longer offer.

Probably holds value for a pick in the 30s now but expect given his loyalty Hawthorn will let him get to the team of his choice for far less (as we did with Mitchell, Lewis, Hill, etc) - as a FA it's even easier to get him to the team he wants. For the right team he would have significant impact, but most teams would have at least one player of similar age/performance.
