I have very good information that Ryan Willits from Port Adelaide Football Club wants to leave and will do so at the end of next year....very good source, he is a very close mate to Ryan and Ryan has told him he will be leaving....

First of all stop labelling every poster that expressers what is TRUE a kid

He wont change his mind I guarantee...

I have also heard that every South Australian recruit will refuse to sign a contract with their non-SA clubs, and will instead renominate for the 2005 national draft.

I meant Willits, not yourself.

If he is dissapointed to be living in Adelaide, lets see what happens in a couple of years when he's made some good friends and team mates.

Considering he's only been in Adelaide for about a week, I find it amusing that this sort of rumour would come up already.

I guess people can read a lot into a 10 second clip on Channel Ten the minute he's drafted.

Ryan told his mate that he did not want to go interstate before the draft.

He then told him that, once he got drafted, that he wanted to leave and is really going to miss his family a lot.

HEADLINE FOR 2004:

"Willits Scores The Winner Agaisnt Port"

But seriously he will go 100% sure....

Mmhmm. So you're in fact relaying information from before he even landed in Adelaide.

i played with ryan the whole year and i know that his mum was the only one who was a little bit concerned. He will get used to adelaide as Treadray is looking after him and gave him a call after the draft welcoming him. I very much doubt that you should be posting what u are posting about ryan as he wouldn't want to create attention as you so severly seek.

The Power’s Victorian recruits, Ryan Willits and James Ezard, had their first training run with the team at the Adelaide Uni Gym in North Adelaide, after being selected at pick’s 19 and 34 respectively in the recent National Draft.

Willits, who has played mainly as a key forward throughout his career, said that he was at the perfect club to develop his game as a forward and that four time All-Australian Warren Tredrea would be the perfect role model.

“I’m hoping to follow Tredrea around a bit, sit in his back pocket and learn what he does because I’ve heard he is one of the hardest working players here. If I can stay with him most of the time and learn what he does then I should be all the better for it.

“He is the best, there’s not many who doubt that, so to learn from him will be unreal. It’s probably the best club to be at if I want to become a forward,” he said.

Just as exciting for the 17 year-old, who stands at 197cm and 100kg, was the prospect of joining the reigning premiers.

“When you go out there with the boys, they are the icons of football, so you get a bit nervous especially having a kick to kick with Gavin Wanganeen, so it’s pretty good,” Willitts said.

He'd be on a two year contract anyway so even if he wanted to leave at the end of the year (which is highly doubtful) he cant.

I'm not saying I believe your source is true, because I don't really but if it was once he has a Premiership Medal hanging around his neck next year he would be mad to leave. Remember Judd when he was drafted? Was always going to come back to Victoria. Once he settled into the club and made some good mates (and a very nice gf) he stayed....

Nah he can be traded but he can't nominate for the national draft or pre season draft.

He can't without the club yielding to his request.

Thats what i heard his mum was worried about him going interstate but he was more than happy to go.

Yes, two players demanding to leave in the past 8 years, with us having the 3rd most non-locals in the AFL, is nearly an epidemic.

This is the most pathetic thread ever. On what grounds can you be making these claims? He's been there for a week! He wasn't keen on leaving Melbourne; what person is keen on leaving home when they are 17/18, but his dream has always been to play AFL and he's got his chance, I think he can get over the fact that he's living away from home. By the way, I am friends with him so I know I am right, and I know he is lapping it up training with the premiership side.

Do you go to his school?

If you do just ask his CLOSEST mates bout what he said...
