The club's got serious serious issues. There were 23k at the G. The members were empty and honestly sounded like there were more Sydney fans at the game. Just got a second take that in. More fans from Sydney at an AFL game in Melbourne than Melbourne.

A year like this could easily destroy a decade worth of fans. Even in our Neeld years this board was thriving. It's dead now. I genuinely think people will walk away from footy after this year

Well said, club is in serious shit for next year. Probably lose 10k members after this year and it’ll be another exodus in 2020 if we can’t at a minimum play finals.

Listening to Lever & Melksham talk on radio today & they both said morale is really low to basically shot! Jeepers heres hoping the break gives them
Perspective & new coaching faces/appointments freshens & re-energizes them or we are well & truly back to square one again!

It would be one of the greatest sporting comebacks of all time. Glad there is someone who believes the impossible is possible!!!

Long time reader. The reality is that we have proven he impossible is possible this year. Goodwin has taken a ****ing premiership favourite to a side getting pumped by a bottom 4 side by 53 points!

Goodwin has had all year show something, anything. He is completely inept and the club is the same old club as always, why the **** he was given an extension after one promising season is beyond me.

It's literally the stupidest move I've ever seen in the AFL. No upside, all downside.

Perhaps we are a bad side who simply went on a good run for the last 6 weeks of 2018 and beating the Eagles in WA late in that season made us think more highly.

We beat the Hawks & Cats whom were both cooked in the finals last year and now we are back where we actually should be.

Our list management has been poor (again) combined with terrible recruiting (Preuss is a VFL player!) and clearly behind the scences its a rabble starting in the coaches box up to the CEO.

I disagree, perhaps we overachieved slightly last year. We were by no means flawless but had 5 years of linear improvement to go on. The shit has hit the fan this year and I’m really worried that this group doesn’t have the resilience or hunger to redeem themselves but to characterise this season as anything other than a huge underachievement just gives the players and coaches another excuse.

Yeah, I’m worried about how the club is being run. List management has tried to view the trade/draft period holistically in terms of net outcomes rather than individual events. 2018 into 2019 has definitely been a net loss, however, these things still can play out over a longer term.

In short Preuss, KK and May have had poor 2019 seasons but there’s still time to turn it around over the next 3-5 years.

I am not massively worried at this point in time. As BAD as the season has been.

Good performances start with putting the hard work in before Xmas and that was taken away from a lot of players due to surgeries and injuries. Some of those players being: Viney, Petracca, Hannan, Oliver, Hunt, Harms and Jetta. Chuck in May and Lever as well as VanderBerg.

I certainly hope to not hear about a large part of the core playing group having pre-season surgeries this time around but rather a full pre-season for the majority of the players.

I think this time next year we will have a clearer picture of what Goodwin can and can't bring. Glad the club did not sign a 4+ year deal with Goodwin at this stage.

Heard some inside intel that some of the new youngsters are perplexed how low the moral and confidence is at the club.

If they send senior blokes out for surgeries post season when that could have happened 5 weeks ago its a sign of a desperate footy department worrying about themselves and not the actual success of the club.

Really i look at it and we should be playing Gawn as he should be on ice with us knowing if Pruess can cut it at AFL level or not, instead Pruess is playing VFL which doesn't answer any questions for us!

If Carlton are getting in early to poach well regarded staff from opposition clubs I sincerely hope we are doing the same and now.

Who does Melbourne need to recruit. It is most likely 2 years at best, should Goodwin fail, before they get rid of him. And you would imagine he would have the biggest say on who joins the coaching team.

The Fitness/Conditioning coach has been replaced and McCartney (who I think was responsible for the awful defense strategies early in the season) is going.

I don’t know specifically, but my point is I hope we are genuinely looking for the best out there to strengthen our club in every facet.

Yze=skilled former player=will be able to fix every player on our lists ball use

that's how it works, right?

Well, its not too far fetched. you don't think the person responsible for strategy at one of the best strategical teams in the comp run by one of the best strategical coaches of all time isn't a good fit for our current vacancy in strategy?

I wonder if Port may consider underhandedly poaching Goodwin from under our noses ... ... if we suggest it to them.

I think it has legs. Goodwin is exactly what we need Port Adelaide to need.
