In Fairness to Hinkley (Cant believe I am defending this twat!), but every single coach in the league will tell you that with 1min 47seconds left on the clock, there is nothing that the coaches can really do. It is up to the players.

The real blight still is on Hinkley though, as the quality teams in the AFL train for this, and have different strategies that the captain and players automatically implement.

Forget defence, who cares whether they score another goal ... So, something like: Ratogolea or Aliir goes forward to add more marking power up front, Rozee replaces Mead/Drew in the midfield to add more dynamics at the CB, forwards all run and spread immediately after the bounce opening the forward area. You practice the crap out of these sort of set plays, and the Captain immediately implements it when needed.

But under Hinkley .. The same crap, expecting a different outcome!

I think if we turn 4-7 at the bye he will walk. This will give josh 12 games to coach this year which will be a bit of a springboard for him and the team for next year.
He can start his style and make changes and experiment as much as he wants and unlike a normal interim coach who just gets the team to play and isn't overdemanding. Josh will keep every player accountable and be demanding. If anything it will be a headstart for next season as josh won't be fresh in the role when preseason comes around
