I think what he is trying to say is that Voss and Brisbane took a big gamble not only with topping up but also appointing Rawlings and Mcrea. I for one have asked the same question over the years at Tigerland
1. Do we have a gym at the club and
2. Do we have a development coach ?

Unfortunately the answer to number 2 for 4 years was Mcrea which is a shame because he came with such big wraps. Obviously 3 time premiership player and did an awsome job with the Qld under 18's in the past.

It gets worse , although Rawlings was a great bloke and terrific with the media he put a pen through the names of alot of players that Hardwick is turning into good footballers. Rawlings is the one that decided that Shane Tuck was not an AFL player after he had just played 104 consecutive games.

Voss would want to pull his finger out as he can't float on his reputation as a player for another year. The Gold Coast are right around the corner and the rivallry begins. I personally believe whole sale changes need to be made amongst your assistant coaching staff or Vossy might find himself doing the fishing report with Phippsy very soon.

It would seem that Lions have had many black cats walk underneath their posi on the ladder this year. I would imagine that Vossy had something to do with the change of logo design ie new era, the Vossy Era.

I loved the old logo and jersey design. When we started hearing that Lions would press ahead because Fitzroy couldn't afford to challenge in the Courts, my alarm bells clanged. BTW how many Fitzroy members have left this year? I'm staggered that after 17 years in Bris, that the health and viability of Lions is still dependent on our 6,000 Fitzroy members (or Melbourne based members). So what does our CEO vouchsafe - stuff the Fitzroy lot and our heritage!

I know that professional players should be able to rise above any jersey design they are forced to wear, but jerseys do carry perceptions, and after a while, superstitions. We were on the way up last year, this year we are beaten by the bottom side.

TRT, I've wondered too how GC is destabilising Lions this year. Evidence that Crows and Hawks also been affected. We will only learn in Oct how many Lions will be joining GC. There could be a few more cut this year who seek out GC as well. Lions are playing like a lost pride.

While calling for Voss' head is premature, there has to be change in the way he communicates to his players - clearly they are not getting it.

I can't also buy the excuse about the injuries cos we had no first year players yesterday and the players who had heart and offered something were second year players - Rich, Banfield, Acorn, Rockliff (although he may turn into another Dalziel with possies that don't hurt the opposition) and Redden. The other players have been in the system for some time and most of these players are going backward.

Coaches and leadership at the Lions has to find ways of breaking from this inertia and I know they can! And keep ACORN IN THE TEAM and let him build on what he has started.

I'm staggered at how people can turn a "sack Voss" thread into a conspiracy thread about the Lions being anti-Victorian members or how the new guernsey is bad "karma". The reality is that we have 10 players injured and there is just no chance of having a successful season when most of those injuries are to key players. I honestly don't know what people expect from Voss.

I dont like using injury's as an excuse but seriously when you look at ours you can't help but to use it.
We were playing with a injury free list for the first 4 rounds and look at what we produced, since then everyone of our players has been under a cloud.
I cant stand supporters who are here for the good times and just tend to bag and think they could do better when the shit hits the fan.
