He's had one full year and I think we've seen enough of his second year to know that TW is just not in the supercoach class. It's obvious that he doesn't understand the game, why waste time with him? He's had his chance, get rid of him!

no-one's expecting a premiership, at least not this year, but we should be competitive, even against top sides. I noticed it a bit last year but didn't say anything but now it's obvious - Wallace doesn't know jack about preparing his players and his on the day tactics are atrocious. It's no secret that the top coaches love coming up against him - they play him like a piano!

keep digging, ur only embarrasing one man...please tell me this is attempted humour...

here we go, as soon as someone comes out and says what we all know but don't want to admit, out comes all the derisive inuendo - Hawthorn plant, embarrassment, etc.

but think about it, fellas. we all know that we were desperate when we appointed TW - the Frawley farce, board infighting, hopeless fiscal management, the spitter, etc.

we were desperate and TW had us in a corner and got himself a five year contract - good on him. but now that we all know that there'll be no improvement this year - indeed, we'll probably go backwards - it's time for the board to sit down with wallace and let him know that the club made a mistake giving him a five year deal and that if he doesn't get Richmond in the finals in 2006, his contract will be terminated.

And in the meantime, we should be actively and openly looking for another coach - no lies, no skullduggery, just an honest admission of error and a demonstration that we at Richmond demand results.

Why does this sound familiar?

Oh that's right because this is exactly how we used to react and it cost us a fortune in cash, on field results and reputation.

What you outline is the exact opposite to the direction we want to be heading in.

FFS, TW is in the 25 game of a 5-year plan and we've just come up against the best 3 sides so far this year!

OK then, there's half a dozen of us having a chat about the current Richmond coach.

I reckon, for reasons outlined earlier, that Wallace is just another Frawley in a different t-shirt and and I'm predicting that for the next three or four years our results under Wallace will be no better than what we've endured over the past 25 years. Well, I don't know about you but I'm not prepared to accept that.

You blokes are pretty good with the insults, but can any of you give me three solid reasons why we should persevere with Wallace?

Come one, let's hear it.

So how about you get off ur fat arse and give it ago. Thats right its to much effort leaving your computer to worry about anything else.

Like we and he said. It will take most of the 5 year contract. So get lost.

I think we can pretty much agree that Truetiger is a moron so we can ignore his mindless contribution - my suitability to the job of senior coach of the Richmond Football Club has no bearing on the issue at hand which is:

Should we persevere with Wallace or should the club give him an ultimatum for this season and in the meantime start looking for a replacement?

It is my view that Wallace should go.

Can anyone come up with three reasons why he should stay?

You, sir, are an A-Grade KNOB. Our first year was great in terms of exceeding expectations and unearthing a few decent players (Tuck, Pettifer), and we have only passed Round 3 this year, competing against 3 of this years true contenders. Everyone knew we had a tough draw early last year, most of us not expecting a finals birth.

Believe it or not, we are not finals material. Our list is full of inexperienced kids with 9 or so having not played a game. Drafting a good side together takes years to realise it's fruition, and we are now seeing this with some of the 2003 batch stepping up (Tuck, Raines, Hartigan, Jackson, etc). Wallace notified us that it will take time and made his pledge to build a side over 5 years; it is only year 2 at the moment.

It seems that you expect our list will just magically turn "good" in a year.

Drop the pot.

It's your kind of people that makes bearing the title "Richmond Supporter" embarrassing.
