You dont think the season is over? We are a terrible side.

I still think we'll improve a bit. I reckon we get to 10th as long as we win the easier matches and the ones we should at home. If we can get to 10th, play a final and try to load up for next year I think I'd be reasonable happy.

Any chance we were saving the sponnies on Steele and Alir to grab Butters? 😬

It sounds like the money is there to chase a big fish but can't see him coming to us.

Good:
Garcia

FYI I could clearly here the following through the mic from Butters:

"I, Zak James Butters, being of sound mind and body, make this declaration to you Nick Foote. You are a homosexual, and it is because of this fact, that I assert I do not like you, in fact, I disparage you."

Will sign a stat dec.

The way you beat defamation is proving the statement is true!

The win we needed
Shame about the poor 3rd qrt.
But we steadied well in the last qrt.

Marshall is more than a worry.
Caminiti &/or King need to replace him soon as.

Depending on the weather next weekend.
Probably need Howard in to help counter the crows talls

Box, Garcia, Pou & Tauru all showed good signs & Carroll had decent moments.

Thankful for the 4 points - well done!

RTB looked like he knew he was under real pressure.

BUT we beat a very ordinary team (albeit on their home deck).

Unfortunately I’m not sure we are any good and our recruits haven’t made us much better. Not a big SOS fan but he was very good tonight.

Massive improvement required against the Crows or we will be embarrassed.

Ps Hugo - terrific!

Garcia looked like he was playing with a chip on his shoulder.

Tauru is a dangerous man, but in the right way.

Pou finding his shots on goal was promising, looks more likely in that forward/mid combo role at this point of his career than pure mid.

Desperately need to find something that can change the momentum, every game feels the same. Like we sit back and just eat punches in the corner for 20 minutes a match.

moment for brad hill. has been critiqued a lot, fair enough sometimes, but he is having his best year with the saints imo. hes much cleaner, his skills are good again. he doesnt pull out of contest. on top of that, he is a fantastic club man, sets a great example to all our players. go hilly
Honestly I think at this point we can say the trade was success. He's been a bit inconsistent but he's given us value year after year and seems like he'll keep providing for a few more

Pou is a man of Kino.

Give him some obscure French shit and my god he will win us a flag

He needs something like Perfect Days. The meditative study of a zen like Japanese public toilet cleaner by an intense German director.

I think we’re most likely headed for bottom 6 this year but it would’ve been official if we lost this one.

Yep so clear now that we should've taken what geelong were giving last year (at the time though I thought keeping him was right). This offseason we're gonna have to trade him for a bag of chips

Hunter Clark 15 touches 7 marks from 46% game time. Will be important once he gets more match fitness

Yes take the win but feel like we are just going to be honest
Port looked better and more purposeful moving the ball forward tonight than we did - we looked dreadful at times like kick and hope stuff
We still bombed into 50 way too much - why guys like Sharman etc can’t lead up at the footy I don’t know
Pou is a forward- leave him there for now
Flanders was dreadful tonight his turnovers for a pick 7 were a joke and at times he looked scared of it. Not a fan on what I’ve seen
Don’t underestimate umps tonight we got lucky
IF we allow Crows to move the forward so easily from our D50 and through the middle like Port tonight…..start lubing up

We won and got 4 points but apart from that there was not a lot of positives for me. Being satisfied with that win shows a degree of mediocrity and it is why this club will never win a flag in any of our life times. Yes there are some things to celebrate, but at one point we were 32 points up, competent teams go on and bury the opposition from that position.

Port are a very ordinary side even in Adelaide this year and we gave them a sniff and then fell over the line. Elite coaches wouldnt be happy with that effort and would be expecting the group to find the killer instinct, rather than waiting for the opposition to come back at us. We are a young and inexperienced side but until we find some killer instinct we wont beat many decent sides.
