Eddy in Front of Armitage for the GF was an absolute shocker
Your honour, the prosecution objects on the grounds that the defendant's evidence exceeds the statute of limitations by nearly a decade. We submit to the court that evidence from 16 years ago is irrelevant to this case........

I like Clark & Jones for our team.

In a game where hesitancy can stall a young career, I like how these 2 just keep having a crack & ‘taking the game on’, setting the example for our younger players.

Any good coach will say this is what you want your players to have the mindset of.

Both played an important part in Sunday’s win.

It was one of Jones better games ( or 1/4s ), but i'm not far off the point where i'd be picking Garcia ahead of him in the best 22, and Jones is out of contract end of season.

I'm not sure if they should be in the team, but fair call.
And did anyone even mention Hill's incredible goal in the last? Of course not.
He took a calculated risk with two defenders blocking him and with fans ready to crush him for any mistake.
Im also sure Ross told them to take risks too. But still it was a fine piece of work

finally watched the last qtr in full and the following were huge in that qtr:
  • obviously Naz, not just the last minute but in the first couple centre bounces with Hall, golly Hall was great that last qtr
  • Hill and Jones also did huge things to get us back into the game, even though for growth I think at least Jones shouldnt be in the side, but so be it if hew can play like that more often.
  • windy was very good in that last qtr couple little things he prob doesnt get a stat for but had influence on us getting the ball goin our way. I dont get the almost whipping boy status he has had lately I think he is still developing into important player
  • Hunter clark also did some great things in the last, the bump coming in off CHB at one of the centre bounces threw the melbourne player off the ball,. Clark also got possession and got it going our way for another inside 50. Can play and him witrh all the young blokes coming through is a solid mid lineup
  • cooper sharman stepped up in the last also
  • RoMa - how the f**k are we risking him wanting to leave with the TDK crapola, dude is playing sore and was bloody HUGE in last qtr.

I cant recall the dees defender but he bottled that badly. Between him and the McVie 50m two absolute howlers that pretty much definitiely cost the dees the game.

Was the other screw up you refer to the one when the Dees defender challenged the ump as Sharman walked around him and launched a beauty from 50?

Way to go Coops!

Nah the player getting almost nutmgged by Brad and then the McVie 50m penalty to Higgo.

McDonald (i think) on the mark to Coops was also bad.

They had an absolutel nightmare last quarter tbh.

If Oliver had a left foot they almost certainly win by a point

It went from nightmare to apocalypse now for them.

Their loss to us in Alice Springs was almost inexplicable too. Appalling kicking and some luck on our part. And to think they came out all guns blazing this time, and walloped us for 3/4 of the game - beyond incredible on their part.

But we are the mighty Saints. And we know all about that sh#t luck. Oh how we do!

But not this time!!!

yey

Until the North game…and hopefully beyond ..

The GLEE the GLEE the glow!

Yeah, they had so many opportunities to not lose that game it makes you wonder how much Goody had on that at three quarter time and at what odds ?

Also, not sure if it's been posted in here but Titus O'Reily (Dees Supporter) take on the game is pretty funny:

St Kilda (96) v Melbourne (90)

When Michelangelo finished the Sistine Chapel ceiling, everyone looked up and knew they were witnessing a masterpiece, perhaps one that would never be surpassed.

Such was the case when it came to watching Melbourne produce a display of incompetence so awe-inspiring, even Demons supporters, connoisseurs of the artform, instantly declared it a masterpiece.

St Kilda’s only regret is that they can’t play the Melbourne Football Club every week.

Down 46-points at three-quarter time, the Saints said, ‘So you're telling me there's a chance.”

If you’re a Saints supporter, this was the biggest legal high you’ve ever had in your life.

And nothing should be taken away from the Saints effort, they took it to Melbourne, but even they would admit, you need some help to come back from 46 points down in one quarter.

You can get caught up in the Dees mistakes in the final few minutes, the 6-6-6 mistake beiing the obvious one, but this was a whole team, entire quarter effort to lose this one.

Spending the off-season making sure everyone felt loved and nurtured has obviously come at the cost of skills and fitness, and Melbourne remains the worst decision-making team in the league.

Take, for example, when Clayton Oliver found himself in space in the final minutes running into goal only to kick the ball out of bounds on the full.

And to say he was in space is an understatement; there are outback cattle stations smaller than what he had around him.

On the other side, you had Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera, who, in a Michael Jordan-like display, took over the game and told everyone to get out of his way and let him win this thing.

He even signalled his final play, and still the Dees seemed bewildered when he marked in the forward fifty.

Rarely do you see footballing genius so close to footballing incompetence, but it was all on display in the final quarter on Sunday.

Also the Dees player who touched Hunters hack kick out of defence that was heading for the line and a certain deliberate call. Turned a freee to them into a throw in

Don't know how many times I've watched the last quarter.

But even when I just chuck on the last two minutes I still tear up every time. Is that weird?

Pretty nice one to have on the backburner over summer as we get ready for 2026. What an all time game.
Every time I watch the last quarter I go back and re-watch the last two minutes. It's a though I still can't believe it.
It's probably also to count the number of stuff up Melbourne made that hand a hand in our last five goals.

I just love watching it and knowing we have the best player in the league on our list.

I watched the game highlights against Brissie, last night, where Rooey kicked 9 & took 20? marks.
Not a bad effort.
And who would of believed after the Carlton win 2024,
we would see an even better win this year.
At least we get those moments every now & again.

I just watched last night haha. It's all the little things. Hilly had a number of really important moments, same with hunter.

Coops mark and goal were insane.

Hall was so good.
Windy was so good.

Nas ok too.
But Jack Viney.. what a game.

Love the Higgins free where he runs into a goal with Dwayne screaming: "THIS...LITTLE...HIGGIE...WENT...ALL THE WAY HOME!!!" and Dermie going "What have you done?" to the Demon dickhead who threw Jack to the ground just in front of the goal square

All time best troll!

It double amuses me as one of the melb defenders is running after him trying to run him down... which would have been a double goal to us as it was a 50 meter paid, not advantage. They were completely wrecked mentally that quarter.
