Only saw the second half and then without sound in the pub. Can somebody please tell me:
• why was Lenny out?
• what us Gilbert's injury?
• did Kosi get/ will Kosi get reported and for what?
• is Reiwoldt the best midfielder in the game now?!

Thanks

Did a calf in the warm up out for 2-4 weeks
Gilbert hyperextended a knee but people said ACL. Radio on way back said medial - either 4-6 or 6-10 depending on seriousness
Kosi went with elbow off the ball to Elliot. Will get at least 3 down to 2 or 4 down to 3. No loading. Definitely will go....
Can't answer that last one but Leigh Matthews reckons its the best he has played in his career. He's leading the B&F

Best 3 were Roo, Roberton, Montagna with mentions to Wright, Jones, Steven, Armitage, Geary

Must also give a huge thanks to Ross Lyon & Fremantle for delisting Dylan Roberton. Don't know bout the rest of youse, but I'm stoked with the way this bloke is going about it. Certainly has stood up tall in every game this year

Cudos to him & well done :thumbsu:

Strangely enough, some are asking if Kosi really did make that much high contact?

Elliots reaction is super delayed, maybe milked it and had to run with it a bit?

Is Cudos really a word? But you're right Roberton was good. A good pick up.

You are Joking right?

Saad's a slow footballer sometimes, not in the physical sense but in the game sense, he doesn't get the flow until it's too late so he's out of position or otherwise 10-20 seconds behind where he should be, arguably he needs to play so that he can get it because otherwise he's an accurate kick, a good lead up forward and otherwise is a more than competent footballer, and we're struggling to break 10 goals without him chipping in.

the issue with saad, is if he isnt applying defensive pressure and taking the game on then he's worth nothing. also he isnt as skilled or as smart as milne.

people will hate this, but i think were better off playing a mid like newnes close to goal and using him to help the rotations. players like ballantyne/milne/betts are successful because they can read the play better than any other player and are extremely good skills wise

We could realistically lose upto 1000 games experience next week!!

Lenny, Kosi, Gilbert then if they drop Dal Santo/Milne (although doubt Milne be dropped).

It will be interesting to see the ins and outs next week. Our smalls smashed Carlton this time last year so maybe Saady will get another run? Not that he deserves it, tbh

cant see them doing the same this year. a) they are horribly out of form b) carlton are much better defensively under malthouse

saad is a definite out for me. should have been done 3 weeks ago. milne is 50/50, his creativity will probably save him. play saunders in saads spot. newnes of HFF.

Milne might be worth playing purely to annoy Andrew Walker

Agreed. I'm torn with Milne though, yeah it takes a good defensive player to play on him but geez they exploit him going the other way. Walker did it last year, Shaw did it on Friday and so on. He is too slow now, great goal sense still but he lets down the entire press.

Although I dont think Kosi whacked him quite as hard as it looks, Elliot is a new player and probably hasnt had too many whacks and it dazed him more then expected. Basically Kosi is lucky he didnt get him properly and concuss him. 3 weeks is about right I think.

I really Disagree with this. He has shown last year to have taken after Milne is many areas and is definitely a skillful shot on goal and sneak as well. He was also a good tackler last year and more then earnt his place in the team.

Where he has gone too this year remains a huge arse question.

Maister out, Kosi suspended, Milne not performing, Saad not so good, Lee not up to it as yet -

next weeks forward line

Siposs - Roo - Milera

Saunders - White - TDL

I really want us to persevere with a structure that doesn't include a dedicated defensive forward though. Under Lyon we had a dedicated player just for that, and he did nothing else.

i disagree. saad is no where near as skilled as milne. kicking wise, saad's set shot is good, but thats about it. i havent seen him pull of a banana, dribble or a miraculous shot under pressure from the boundary. he isnt as creative and doesnt read the play as well as milne. milne is also extremely good for his size over head. theres a reason why milne has been so good for so long. i am not sure saad will be just yet. wait and see i guess
