Vetrans list !!! for year 3 and 4 and if smart they would front load the deal like with Judd

I'm not exactly sure how it works in terms of the veterans list, but if part or all of his salary was ouside the cap in those veteran years, wouldn't we be better off back-loading fev's contract rather than front-loading it?

I think you can have up to two club veterans at a time, and 50% of their salary doesn't count against the cap. If you don't have any veterans (like we don't right now), you can place extra rookies on the list (Michael Jamison is on the list in this way, I believe).

If my memory serves me correctly, the Bombers had to let Henneman or Caracella go a few years back due to salary cap issues.

with the stipulation being 10 years service.

Yes, it was Heffernan, not Henneman. Aaron Henneman played for $11 per month and a bag of stale Doritos (and was arguably overpaid).

I was under the impression that they are considering changing the veteran's list criteria to allow years on any club list to contribute to the 10 years.
