Port have missed the boat on his trade value.

As it stands, his value is almost next to nothing.

3rd rounder at absolute best for a player who apparently is playing SANFL Reserves!

Should have traded him last season.

He is coming back from an injury from the NAB cup game with Freo
he couldn't play for the Seniors in the SANFL because Primus and the coach of glenelg had different roles for Salopek. So he was sent to the reserves.

Now at port magpies, in the next month you will be able to work out if Glenelg was the problem or not.

Ideally for him he will have a great 4-6 weeks in the SANFL and then will crack the port team playing well

But most importantly he will stay injury free

i have a wishlist for us for this off season.
a couple of them are pipe dreams (nds, montagna, boak, someone with breakneck speed)
salopek ive liked as a dark horse addition this offseason for a long time.

agree with the above sentiments, but as it stands he doesnt have much currency, dont laugh but i'd do something like hank slattery and a 4th rounder, again dont laugh but slatts has been playing very well in our 2s, and if he cracked our team for the duration of the year id even push for a straight swap.

I'd rather just delist him.

Yep. Even if he comes back into the team we are pushing it asking for more than pick 40-50. I would take that but I think he will play out his career here.

maybe jayden post and a late pick

i heard somewhere my boys were looking at him. Cant remember where i heard it though but it was in the media.
Before he signed his current contract he was intent on leaving to come home to family and for a change of club, the pies north and essendon were the three interested but he chose essendon, then his agent had heard that Williams was going to be given the top job at bombers so he signed with port again. Hird rang him within the hour of him being signed at port asking him to come down to training. So you would assume essendon might still be the key players. Can't imagine they'd give much up for him though if port were to trade.

How old is he? 28 or so?
Not sure we'd go after a guy of that age bracket. He would be OK, but I just find him utterly uninspiring as a footballer.
We don't have the greatest midfield but we would be looking to fit a couple of our recent picks (Merrett, Browne, Kavanagh) in there over the next year or three.

Think he is 27ish?

Would need to break into the Power side for any trade to happen

He's too good to go without a job, next year.
Port probably wouldn't want to let him go - at such a low point in his career his value would be nothing - but he'd get a guernsey at half a dozen clubs (and not necessarily just the bottom sides either).

Western Bullgods first pick and Panos
For Salopek and Ports first pick

Is something that i could see happening ie A pick upgrade and a twinge player

Who are you talking about? Surely not Salopek.
