No, we have a 19 year old tracking nicely (Vigo Visentini) and we picked up a fwd/ruck last year (Kayle Gerryn) with a lively ruck in the mid season draft

I doubt we go out of our way o get Cooper unless he somehow slipped to the later of our two firsts (we hold Melbourne's first and our own)

I doubt it. We need a ready to play ruck. we already have Vigo as an up and coming one. Edit: What he said

Unlikely given the value of the Ruck Position in general spending a No1 pick there is not the smartest thing.

However if your interested in trading it we’d gladly make an offer to try and get Dursma or Sharp

AFL ready rucks. Stanley, Conway and Blitz are, and as you say Blitz can play multiple positions (unlike our three)

They seem positive about it but we just won't know until he starts running again.

We may well get band 2 but I highly doubt Draper will be leaving much money on the table if he leaves.

Zero chance you get band 2. Unless Draper wants to walk away from 2 million or so its not happening.

Brisbane stuff seems a easy 1 + 1 = 2 equation. Back in reality we know its either Adelaide or Essendon

Big Draper fan but there has to be question marks over his ability to get back to his best form and I get the feeling before his injury there was an expectation he'd continue to improve so wherever he signed would be getting his best years.

Draper is also a bit of an awkward fit as he's at his best not spending full games in the ruck

It's so unfortunate for Draper that, of all injuries to get, it was an achilles. If it was an acl he'd be out for a year and then you'd expect him to pick up from where he left off. But you only have to look at NicNat to see how uncertain achilles recovery can be. And the timing of Sam's injury couldn't be worse.

Dissapointing, but it's likely after his recent and past injury history, he's not going to be a full time ruck again.

Would be better off making him a forward who pinch hits in the ruck.

He'd still be a dominant forward imo. But I don't think we should offer him a big contract now. If Adelaide or Brisbane do, then we don't match it.
