Good on gilbo for making it to 200 games.

He's been a whipping boy of fans especially some on this forum for a long time..
Unjustly.

Integral part of our team from the 09/10 campaigns.

Helped carry the kids through the last 8 years as a senior body in the team.

Mr. Fixit has played most positions on the ground over that span, wherever the coach had a hole to fill.

Tremendous linebreaker at his best.
Good hard worker, puts his body on the line. Plenty of pressure and 1%ers

A real warrior.
Bleeds red, white and black.

I believe he showed his worth last round against the giants. Still got something to give.

A toast to an underrated, and over criticised servant of the club.

Haters **** off!

I don't think I've yelled at the football as loudly as I did when he kicked that goal after half time of the 1st 2010 grand final. We were coming hard at the Pies and that goal made us all believe we were a real chance.

Been a great player for us for years despite what many say about him. Has to be good to play 200.

A better bloke off the field you will fail to meet.

In 2010, Gilbert played every game, averaging 22.3 disposals, 7.5 marks, 2.5 tackles and 3.7 rebound 50s per game. That team was literally one point short of a premiership.

In that Grand Final, after Gardiner went down Lyon had one realistic move - Gilbert forward. The move, and Gilbert, helped change the game.

He's been a great warrior for the club. Congrats on 200 games - well deserved.

I love watching 09/10 replays and I must say Gilbo is very underrated around here given how good he was over that period. Had the ability to play on any tall/small whilst being one of the best intercept marks in the competition. Chips gets a lot of praise but Gilbo was a key reason as to why Fish got more freedom around the half back line.

3rd in the B&F in a Grand Final year, has always been unfairly criticized and made an easy scapegoat by St Kilda supporters over the years. Been a great servant to the club who's given his all and deserves every one of the 200 he's played. It mustn't be easy for him being someone who's disliked by a large portion of his own club's supporters but it's never deterred him from getting on with it and playing the role he's asked to play to the best of his ability. Congrats Gilbo, well played. :clapping:

Looking at his career, I don't think there is a position he hasn't played for us! He made his name as a running defender, a bounce away from being a Premiership forward, ran through the midfield when we needed (though we can forget about the game he "tagged" Ablett), was asked to ruck last year and then on the weekend played on Jeremy Cameron.

He is a true clubman who will do anything the coaches and players ask of him.
Well done Gilbo!

Gilbert has at times been a great player for st kilda and I have never doubted his effort.

He joins a select few, I think its about 30 players who have played 200 for the saints. He was a couple of kicks of being a dual premiership player.

That's a great career in my book, well done gilbo 200 up and still going strong.

His versatility is incredible. I can't think of a position that he hasn't played, and he's been at the very least serviceable in all of them.

Don't think any other player represents St Kildas ability to make you howl with anguish one second, but follow it up with a cry of joy like Gilbo when he has a bad kick and follows it up with a ferocious attack in the loose ballll

Been a pleasure to cry, support and laugh while watching you play Mr Fix-it. Good job

Masochist!

Seriously though, well done Gilbo. Plays with the most heart of anyone on the list, and is a great role model for the kids.

Thoroughly deserved his 200, and anyone who judges his career on his skills does not understand how much good teams are built from clubman like this!!

Just like this moment. Manages to sell some candy, then just stuffs up the kick to only have a miracle bounce into GOATs hands for a shot on goal.
