Can't believe how lucky we were to have a player like McCarthy slip to our pick. At the time of the trade I thought we should've done better but thrilled with how it's worked out.

When Adelaide sneak back into the 8 this year, we can at least console ourselves that Kreuzer is back.

I was disappointed to see him go. Still, as Sin points out, we got the player we missed out on at pick 18.

It is tough seeing him in an Adelaide jumper but I don't miss him.

He wanted to go for greater opportunity because he was behind Kreuzer and Warnock. If he were still here, he'd still be behind those players so it's not a huge loss.

It looked as though we initially were comprehensively beaten in the trade but McCarthy and McInnes may have something to say about that in the long term.

Losing a player as talented as Sauce is tough and it may hurt seeing him flourish with the Crows. But if one or both of McCarthy and McInnes become long term players for us, the disappointment of losing Jacobs will disappear extremely quickly.

Lets be honest. This is his first game at a new club. Just about all of us loved his determination, despite not being gifted natural ability. He is a top quality ruck man who had a few outstanding hit outs, and i think we (as the Carlton board) shouldn't disregard him yet. He left on relatively good terms, and we have every right to discuss.

I miss the old sauce man (i'm sure i'll get over it soon)
