sandy players

Is there any chance we could pick up any players from sandy either as a rookie or thru the draft with our late pick.

From the games I have seen, the two most likely players are Pete Summers or Valenti. Both midfielders. I am not sure about their ages but just wondering what people thought as a few people on this site follow sandy quite a bit.

Surely Valenti is worth a shot 20 yrs old runner up in the Liston medal, played for Victoria won the Fothergill/Round medal not sure how he went in Sandy's B&F but is a genuine star, i know he is only a little tacker but so is Sam Mitchell, Ben McGlynn, Ben Cousins and he is a similar build, if you guys dont want him he would have to go somewhere. Too good a footballer for no-one to be interested in.

Valenti i think would be a good rookie pick up, is a really good player and think he would adapt to AFL well. Really deserves a shot.

id take james allen over valenti.........similar players allen was on the cats rookie list for 2 years, went over to the sanfl this year and won the sandover in his first year there.

wasn't aware sandy played in the SANFL...
