Good first half.

Lonie has been a live wire across half forward, reads the ball so well, could end up with a big bag here.

Sinclair a bit quieter that qtr but still one of our best. Billings had a really good qtr after a couple of poor passages early. Would like to see him move into the guts after half time though. Templeton has been solid.

White has done some really good things as has Rice.

What excites me is that you can see White, McKenzie, Lonie, Sinclair, Rice, O'Kearney all have something as does Templeton who I finally think, with more time and experience, can make it as well, (I wasn't sure last year TBH). Coughlan looks a nice size but needs to be build up strength that only preseasons will bring.

At the very least they will ably cover Gilbert, Geary etc in time - within 2 years I reckon. Impressed with White's kicking - wowee what a boot!!!!

EDIT: Billings is a given for mine - just needs to sort some things out to get back in the seniors

For all the discussion about Billings - his disposal this season has been superb - 8 or 9 out of 10 passes hit their mark. Surprisingly his kicking for goal has been awful. Time and time again he missed goals he should have kicked. His field kicking as I said earlier has been fine but his goal kicking, well, he just needs to kick them!!!!!

I've been saying he should be put down back all year. Work on his defensive game & have his elite kicking in the back half. Obviously not longterm but it will be excellent for his development. It'll be interesting if he plays a similar role in the AFL.
