look at our performances over the past three years 13th, 15th, 12th, every other club in the leauge(except richmond) would have sacked the coach, this group wouldnt have a clue about all the good work big ray and jackson have done for this club

I've seen you in more than one thread on this board claiming that the current board is responsible for three years of poor finishes, that they are driving the club down the wrong path for the future, but as has been pointed out to you before, you don't seem to have any substance to back up your claims. In fact, when you are challenged on this point, you revert to the tactic of claiming it as 'opinion' and that facts have nothing to do with it. In my 'opinion', you'll need something with more weight behind it to have any credibility here.

Are Jackson and Horsbrough the one's not improving the skill level?

It's a sad reality that for much of this decade, our football department has been closer to that of the Victorian Average than it is Collingwoods.

That is just as troubling as anything that has happened on-field.

The money not going into the football department isn't being spent unwisely though.

The facilities like the Hall Of Fame and Social club, along with the upcoming redevelopment of the gymnasium and swimming facilities where the Showers Pavillion now is willeat into the football department spending. There's a lot of money going into Windy Hill as a whole.

the positioning of horsborough has only been 2 years, he was named president after sheedys contract was extended so i dont know how he can be included into this argument just because he was the man who sacked sheedy?

and jacksons role is to help the club provide a platform that enables it to have a competitive advantage over other clubs, has he provided this for us, the answer is yes. the results of the actual footy club have no signifigance in determining this. we have some of the best facilities compared to other victorian clubs we are also one of the best financed clubs in victoria and Australia, which means we have the resources that enables us to fully utilise our football department unlike clubs such as melbourne, north melbourne and carlton etc etc. this is largely due to Jackson.

jackson will stay firm and his neck is on the line if and only if the next coach is not sucessfull.

Just to make a comparative analysis, after Malthouse left West Coast the actual team finished towards the bottom, they sacked Ken Judge they got new players yet there board remained firm and tight, Now for the last 3-4 years they have become a power again. The board was never at fault because there team was never performing, there board provided a structure that would ulitmately lead them to be sucessfull once more and in time Jackson will prove likewise to the feeble minded that think with their hearts and not their heads.

Agreed - i should have been clearer. i was only after some clarification as to where I could voice my opinion properly. i did this via email to EFC and to the group - I had an instant response via phone call from Simon matthews, and have heard not a peep formthe saveeddendon group.

You are right, clarification is what I am after as well, I do not want to see the club I have been supporting for 40+ years and a member off (but not that long) go down the slippery slop either.

It is time now for Essendon fans and supporters to stick together, not get torn apart as the road to success is even harder in this modern day, than days gone by.

We all love our club and but we show it in different ways.

Yeah 10 wins but look at the totals of the games we lost hardly any of them were close just like last year.

Got my letter today. I've got no problem with what Jackson and Horsborugh say in their letters.

Are we going to get any material from the Save Essendon Group? How does that work? They don't have access to the membership database so i gather that we have to listen to them on the night? Is that how it works?

If they had someone standing against PJ and big Ray they are allowed to have a letter from them in the mail out but currently there are no such people hence no info. They have called the EGM to throw Ray and PJ out and replace them with someone in the AGM elections.
