Re: Round 4 trades

Hey guys any news how long stanton is out??

I dont no whether to go:
Stant > Kornes
or
Banner > colyer (and play him)

I have shuey and banner on the mid bench. both not getting a gig at the wrong time for me! Thoughts??

Re: Round 4 trades

Not sure about this trade. I have tippet and waite who i want to get rid of. Then next week i will be looking to trade roo for the cheap adam goodes or possibly pavlich.

What I am planning is to trade:

Tippet to P.Davis (not sure if he will keep his spot)
then sub davis with waite
Waite to J.Brown

Then next week i will go Roo to Goodes/Pav

Thoughts?

Re: Round 4 trades

Roo > Pav/Goodes and Tippet > Rioli?

Leaning towards Pav as Goodes could be an upgrade target in the next few weeks.

Thoughts...

Re: Round 4 trades

Personally I think you'd be better off replacing Roo with a 'premium' (Brown/Goodes/Chapman) and relying on cashing in cows to upgrade your mid-rangers to cut-priced premiums but thats just me...

If I didn't already have Brown he would be in there in a heartbeat. I do see your point, but I really rate Junior. Goodes and Chappy are certainly on my radar as well, but I wanted to give myself a bit more wriggle room - my forwards are (like many posters here) a disaster area, so having that extra $100K to play with in the next couple of weeks is going to be very important.

Re: Round 4 trades

already have him, was thinking roo- rioli then waite to goodes. or roo to brown then waite to hurley? thoughts quickly if poss

Re: Round 4 trades

**** it. I'm biting the bullet and trading Shuey.

At best, he'll miss this week and possibly the next (which is no good), and at worst he could be out for a while. Might as well risk it and make sure I jump on a good cash cow while there's still a few left. The money Moles will make in the next few weeks will hopefully make up for this wasted trade.

Now, at best, he never comes back.

At worst, he comes back and you've probably wasted a trade.

Re: Round 4 trades

Yeah probably. But I usually set aside 1-2 trades for early changes/sideways trades. And since I'm happy with my starting team I haven't really had to use any until now.

But yeah, any money says he returns next week and Moles gets injured.

Re: Round 4 trades

Just did... Roo -> Chapman

Bit of a risk when i could've taken Brown instead but guess i'll see at the end of the season if its paid off.

Re: Round 4 trades

I eventually went;

Riewoldt > Chapman
Tippett > Peterson

Saved 225k so will look to upgrade somebody next week or the week after.

Re: Round 4 trades

haha indeed. Where art thou wise Supercoach feedback givers such as Liverpool Red, Unknown Identity, FB Donkey, Judd Magic, Impromptu, September 27, spud jjj, thomas18 (I've probably left some of you out) to offer me there two cents on this conundrum!!

You all must be out there somewhere!

Higgins vs Rioli (+60k)...

Probably too late with my opinion, but hopefully you picked right!

Higgins for mine. Main reason being, even though he's the flavour of the week, I believe Rioli's scoring ability will be hindered by the return of Young, Sewell and Burgoyne (i.e. less midfield time for delicious). Also, I still see Cyril to be a bit of an up-and-down player score-wise.

Higgins will always rotate through the midfield and is nearly guaranteed to kick a goal each game.

Re: Round 4 trades

^^Both are risky in my opinion. Higgins apparently had to pass a fitness test before last weeks game and Rioli is reported to be struggling with his OP.

I ended up going Roo -> Goodes.

Round 5 Trades

Got a couple of ideas im tossing up at this stage.. Keen to get the thoughts of others.

Relton Roberts for Podsiadily - Relton's a spud and will never score over 20. Ive got 17 trades left at this stage so my only concern is using another trade. Already have my fair share of cows but is Pods too good to resist? Also concerned about Geelong being able to play Pods, Mooney, Hawkins, Ottens and Blake. Pods form has been good but surely you'd still drop him before any of those others.

Only other player im considering giving up on is Sam Mitchell. Scores have been awful and has dropped a HEAP of cash already. I can cover him but im getting sick of seeing my cash wasting away...

Re: Round 5 Trades

ladson> schmidt
b. hall> rockliff or pods
then get Judd in the next week.
That depends if schmidt and the others are actually going to keep getting games

Re: Round 5 Trades

Hitchcock out for Pods (most likely) or Rockliff. Make about $60k on the downgrade which might get me Cox in for Hille now that he looks to be hitting his straps.

Was thinking the same thing already have pods so it was
Hitchcock>Rockliff pocket the cash and use it later, I dont think its sideways but not sure

Re: Round 5 Trades

Only used one trade, was thinking Roberts (Terrible choice) and Hitchcock for Pods and Rockliffe). Thoughts?

It's definitely sideways (only earning $60k barely qualifies as a downgrade) but I didn't need to trade sideways to pick up a missed rookie at the end of Round 2 so in my mind I'm just doing it a bit later. :D
