Well, well, well............I go out for the day golfing (shot a 96), and look what I come back too find.:p

Remember, it was Flagman that gave you the Rawlings/Bartel matchup (and obviously the corresponding shellacking), 3 whole days before the game.

Remember, Flag man tipped the Green/Chapman match up 5 days before the match.

Remember, it was Flag Man that gave you the scoop on Scarlett.

"If he gets offered 2 he should take it"

And some of you have the audacity to call me a troll.

BTW, trying to drive a wedge between me and other North fans reeks of desperation on your behalf. I report the facts, and the facts only. I'm sorry if you don't like them.

You can all mow my lawn!

FLAG MAN.............FAIR AND BALANCED!

There is nothing to cry about. He has been found guilty, if it was a Geelong player that suffered that injury you would just want to see whoever did it pay the price if it was a legitimate and malicious act.

The only crying I see are from one-eyed Cat fans.

Being found guilty of punching a player in the face while he is helpless and laying on the ground with another opposition player on him is a low dog act. By being found guilty of that act, he is.
QUOTE]

Harding came from behind to pull down Scarlett. He instigated it.

Why? There's no obligation to report on the spot is there?

The job is to adjudicate on scores and report players where they see anything they think warrants a suspension. Once reported it is then up to the tribunal to decide the issue and penalty if applicable. Most of them, especially goal and boundary umpires, are too scared to report just in case the video shows them to be incorrect

I am still amazed that Scarlett has been offered the two weeks, yet Hille, Hargraves and Medhurst have either got the equal or less.

The difference is the interpretation and grading of the offence - as category 4.

Deemed as being head high and behind play.

Not saying that's an accurate description of events, but that's what he's been charged with.

Wonder if the Cats will contest it, and risk a 3 week penalty?

To be perfectly honest, I think Hille should have got 6 weeks relative to Scarlett's 2/3, given that the same action and cynical intent to injure broke David Hale's jaw last year.

Scarlett's punch on Harding caused more damage than Hille's on the Brisbane ruckman, but Hille's intent was to maim. Next time he does that he should get jail time.

I hope you appeal to. Then the dirty cowardly dog will get at least 3 weeks.

That goal umpire should be hailed as a hero. Finally Scarlett gets his just desserts.

A hero? he would be cowering under witness protection :D

Stupid collingwood supporter. I guess that ump would be considered a hero compared to a team full of clokes.

Sorry Flag Man you were right in guessing the match panel would suspend him.
It was a valid scoop, even if it was a poor decision by shwabby.

Witness protection is a good idea.

The Geelong handbags can be deadly.:D

It's funny though that when Scarlett comes under scrutiny the bloke he has sniped is on the ground and can't defend himself or he's being held down by a teammate.

Give me the Clokes any day. They may lack in football ability, but they have one think Scarlett doesn't.........courage.

By the way, the hero of a goal umpire was the same bloke who said Rocca's shot for goal went through for a point in the GF a few years back.

Still love him do ya????

You goose! Please think before you talk!

If you would choose a Cloke ahead of a Scarlett, it just prooves your intelligence.

Should take the two. Bottom line, he belted a bloke who was on the ground. Twice. Behind the play. Dunno if he has a record, but two sounds about right.

Hille's baffles me though. He broke David Hale's face last year and not 10 games later he is throwing round arms. Dirty, sniping hack.

Yep, take two and thank his lucky stars. Bomber needs to get the lad some counselling.

Agree, He should have at least gotten what Scarlett recieved.

What happens if he does it again and K.O.'s someone?

The tribunal will look very bad.

I think he may have been talking with his tongue in his cheek but he was right about one thing, it would be a refreshing change to see Scarlett have a go at someone that is facing him.

You mean like the way Hamil lines people up when they're not looking.

Yeah he's super tough as well.

So far Scarletts a coward and a sniper according to the previous posts but yet Archer and Hamil, who have done similar things time and time again, are tough hard units.

Talk about Hypocrits.

Agree. ATEOTD it was an act worthy of suspension, if taken on its own merits. The annoying thing I think for all supporters is the lack of consistency from the tribunal. Scarlett with no priors applicable, and no video evidence of actual contact (although we all know he whacked him) 3 weeks/2 with early plea. If that's the standard they're using, fair enough, but then a couple of decisions made just in the same sitting are incomprehensible to me. As I say, fair enough if looked at on its own, but you have to look at other cases for consistency.

You can call me what you like and you can quote other players but it doesn't get away from the fact that Scarlett is a sniper, always has been.
