Hey gang

So thanks to those who gave me MCG advice (I didn't buy a package in the end... will probably regret it now, lol).

Anyways, taking the family over to Sydney next weekend as my wife's bro lives there and it's a handy time to visit. So I wanna go support the blue and gold at the SCG on Saturday.

Any advice on tickets? Should I bother pre-purchasing? Better off buying them on the day?

And where's the best place to sit? I notice that there's a limit to ticket purchases in certain areas (I'd be needing at least 4, maybe 5).

Cheers in advance!

Being based in Sydney, I would recommend buying tickets beforehand. The game won't sell out, but you can expect a crowd of around 35,000-37,500 (the capacity is 45,000) so if you leave it too late you won't get good tickets.

Also, the traffic will be a nightmare, so I would suggest public transport. There are free buses from Circular Quay.

The Ticketek website is absolute shit, lol.

Won't let me move seats and just puts me in a "best seats available" location no matter what I select. When I try and move the seats, then go to payment it just doubles my purchase (and still in the "best seats" section I don't want). :P

And yeah, will be taking public transport there.

Sorry to thread jack, any ideas whether there is normally an open training at the SCG later in the week?

Big interest for me on an open training session

**** I forgot how much footy costs having not been to game for a while, and getting free passes to the last game vs GWS. Can I use my barcodes from our family membership back in perth to get discount on the tickets, or am I stuck with $55 for a semi-decent seat?

If you buy tickets using your membership* through the club its $45 per adult for a reserved seat (bay 2 - concourse category 3).
Or the cheer squad was $34 per adult (Bay 2).

Check through them if tickets still available.

Got a call from ticketek and they have had to move our seats as the swans are building a display house wtf? In the block we were in. New seats are 6 rows further back and closer to goals. No 'sorry for the inconvenience' or anything. Not happy!

I'm flying to Sydney for the game too. My first interstate game ever.

So feel free to wave if you see a lonely eagles supporter, it will be safe to assume it's me. Cheer squad aside, there should only be a dozen-odd eagles supporters at the ground. :D

Been to a few games in Sydney and the Eagles support isn't too bad, you won't find it too hard to meet other Eagles fans. It always looks worse because red n white sticks out like dogs balls.

I'll be in Bay 313 - Trumper Stand. Unfortunately left the ticket buying a bit late and with 8 to fit in and wanting tonsit together didn't have much choices.

I had a row of 8 tickets however have just received a call from ticketec who have said a mobile box will now be installed where we are sitting. They have said there are no premium seats left, only 3rd grade? Can someone tell me what these are like?

I have requested box tickets in the meantime ;)

Load of shit - box at minimum. Make sure you let me know what level etc, I'll be around for some mid strength
