I am both saddened and disappointed with the nasty turn of events in the last couple of days in relation to the SCG test match against india.

Hopefully both parties will just grow up and get on with the game.

But at the moment it doesn't look to good, with no end in sight, the SCG may well be remembered as the ground in which relations between India and Aus. were extremely severed

Lets move on with things. Bring on the footy. :thumbsu:

I havent read todays paper, though i did see the front page and noticed he got off. Personally i think the Indians handelled the whole senario poorly. Dont agree with coments that in thier own culture calling someone a monkey dosent hold any derogitory or racist meaning. They were well aware of how the Australian team and Symonds feels about it, especially after the last tour over there.
Publicly demanding the umpire be sacked from the remainder of the series is is a bit tasteless, could have perhaps gone about it in other ways.
Holding the tour to ransom pending Haberjauns (sp?) decision, for me was the straw that broke the cammels back. Honestly at that point they should have been sent home and fined and perhaps suspended from international competiton.. Maybe harsh, but i had a gutful of their shit by then.
On the other hand Australia plays a bullish brand of cricket, alot dont like it alot do.. I think they should just play the game, theres nothing wrong with a bit of niggle, its only natural, but if its not breaking the rules then its in a grey area, perhaps it needs an internal invesigation, i dont know.
Anyway i can go on, but i hope the remainder of the series is as good as the SCG Test because that was a great game.
