Unless Scharenberg's career gets ended because of injury, then I still back it in as the right choice.
Aish would've just been another mid-paced 182cm midfielder with a light frame. We needed a 190cm defender to replace Shaw and eventually Maxwell.
I think Beams and Pendlebury can do the Aish role. Freeman adds dynamite speed. Scharenberg adds the utility that can cut you up. I think he'll turn out a bit like Goddard.
Definitely the right decision structure wise.
If the injuries never heel, then it will obviously go down a mistake. But too early to tell and from what I know he is back running and looking at a return this year.
