I'd prefer to see Dunn and Dodd having a regular run. If McManus is dropped permanently than I'd be happy to have Schofield and one of those two kids play.dominguez said:It's certainly not time to throw in the towel and play the kids. Sure we are struggling to score goals, but Schofield, Polak, Hadrill, Headland and Hayden slotting into other areas of the ground will see our forwards get more opportunity. Schammer, Bell and Hasleby are not yet fully fit, so within 3 or 4 weeks we will be close to full strength (apart from Polak), and if we don't have any long term injuries in the next few weeks we should have a pretty exciting second half to the season.

Judging by our fade out against the Bombers, Schofields experience might be necessary for our next away game. Having said that, I'd rather our current midfielders pull their socks up and then bring in a younger player instead.Plugga said:Saw Schoey on the tv in the Peel v Subi match, didn't have much of the footy, but like Heath Black, everything he did do, he did it to perfection....but saying that, I'd give him another run at Wafl level for fitness, unless CC wants him only to play a 1/2 at Afl level.
Ryan Crowley surprised me though, got a heap of the ball as a Half back flank, & sure his disposal was a bit shoddy against the wind, but he read the play brilliantly. Then kicked 4 goals in the last term going forward...great move by staff keeping him on the list, albeit as a rookie, he may still have a role to play.

DoddPlugga said:Disagree...Schofield would compliment our midfield beautifully...what is the point of playing a younger in front of him, if he is the better player...we are playing to be a Top 6 team, not a Top 8 wannabe.
For me, Dunn has "dunn" nothing to impress me so far, Schammer will come in for Smith this week, so who are these other young players we have, midfield? Browne has been on the list almost as long as Cunningham has, until he was chopped last year, whilst Stribling has only just made it back to EF league side. Peake's disposal is a worry still, on a par with McManus'.
Belnakor said:What is schofield like for pace? I think we really do lack a bit of pace in the midfield. We've got alot of endurance type guys (bell, hasleby and co) but i don't think we're got some genuine pace out there.
