Guerra didn't play - obviously injured (suggestion is the OP curse has struck)

Montagna was OK especially early but faded. Brooks kicked 2 but one was a cheap push in the back.

Stone was really good and i thought Carmody was OK. Besides that the rest were pretty ordinary. Their skills are second rate.

I will say without hesitation, that the St Kilda and Scorpions alginment is the worst in the VFL.

The main problem is that there doesn't seem to be much unity or harmony between the two clubs, the player's don't even train with the VFL guys at all. At Werribee, who I work for the players from the Bulldogs who are playing with the the club on any given weekend train at least once with the VFL guys.

Secondly, Sandrigham should be aligned to St Kilda as this is virtually the heartland of St Kilda's supporters and where they live.

St Kilda fans, what are your thoughts on the alignment ?

Pretty much every St Kilda fan has the same opinion as this.

The St Kilda Football club also has little impact on where the saints players play. I would much rather see At least one of the following players be the #1 ruckman every game, Barry Brooks, Jason Blake or Nick Stone.

Firstly I don't think it's fair that our club dictates to the Scorpions where certain players can play and that kind of thing. I do some work for the Scorpions and the fact remains that Ashley Eames has been a revelation in the ruck. I would like to see Brooks get a bit more of a run on the ball but his best position at VFL level is a key forward.

Secondly, it doesn't bother me whether St Kilda players train at Springvale or Moorabbin. In fact, I'd prefer our fringe players to training at Moorabbin alongside guys like Hamill and Harvey and learn about how to get the best out of themselves.

Thanks for the report Diamond. I couldn't make the game. It's good to see Joey getting a lot of the ball, I actually thought he'd have got a game before Murray last week. Unfortunately the injuries at St Kilda has meant that we are fielding less AFL listed players in the VFL than any other team. We won't compete with teams like Werribee who have exceptional VFL listed players but we should improve in the coming weeks.

Yeah, I'm a former player down there and there is quite a few problems with the club. Having said that, Grant Thomas is doing nothing to help the situation and hear/say is he doesn't want his StKilda boys 'overexerting themselves' etc for fear of injury or other. If StKilda doesn't warm to the Scorpions, how can we warm to StKilda? The Scorpions also have an identity problem. This year, obviously severing their 'Springvale' base, and looking to move to Dandenong or Casey..? I feel sorry for the club, because before StKilda jumped onto them the club was arguably the most successful club in VFA/VFL history and was certainly one of the clubs of the 90's.
I think off the top of my head the club's had five different coaches in the last five years or something ridiculous like that.

Actually moving to Casey Fields out at Cranbourne, hence the name change to Casey Scorpions as of next year.

Casey Fields looks like it's going to be a huge recreation complex, which every in that aera should benefit from.

South Melbourne CC are also moving there and will sharing the main ground with Scorpions.

It should go a long way towards ensuring the future of the club.

Well, with improved ground and general faciltities this should help the Scorpions considerably.

But do you think this will ensure the Scorpions can play finals football again ?
