I used to genuinely felt embarrassed at lunch time with my salami sandwich.

and to think, some of us thought (non European background) it was fancy having sliced kabana and cubed coon cheese on a jax

This is one thing that society has got correct. Salami acceptance. I’m an absolute menace for a salami, cheese and onion toastie for a quick lunch sometimes. Magnificent product

I read 'They're a Weird Mob' when I was about 11 or so. ( yeah I know it was written by John O'Grady) I really wanted some Italians to move into the area after reading.
Later in life I lived next door to an Italian family. Almost every day I'd be called out to the fence and handed some of whatever they were having for dinner. Their home made sausages were my favourite.
One of the best times of my life and best neighbours I've ever had ( at least in Australia)

Pretty disappointed in Pistol Night for not making a joke about taking your salami out. Back in my day he would have.
 
In Pendles' draft year, Graham Kennedy died about that May.

He'd've reached 80 career games by the time Don Lane died.

Currently, Pendles is the only AFL player playing before Steve Irwin and Peter Brock died.

Same here, my best mate is a Pontian Greek. I can swear in a number of Mediterranean and Balkan languages. "Don't break my eggs" in Polish is a banger.

40% Greeks, all the Yugoslavs, mix of North and South Italians plus Sicilians, Turks, Lebs. Good times, great tucker.
 
How much are we planning to drop on Pendles merch for the record? I'll try pick up a bottle of his red, assuming he does a drop of that.

Ive got the Pendles match worn jumper from the game Krak (which i also bought LOL) took MOTY against Adelaide in 2011. The game where we went berserk in the last quarter (Taz grabbing his jumper, Daisy's massive torp goal). It was the first game after Pendles shaved his dreads off and he looks like he suffering some kind of hair malfunction with all the patchiness. Getting drunk and going on the club auction website can be dangerous. Great man cave pieces but
