Trouble is most everyone here says he is pushed off the ball too easily.
Nick Gills contested marks look great considering number of games played. Maybe I was wrong about him (don't think I was wrong about Sellar or Meeson though).

Stevens does have a weakness of being able to be pushed off the ball from the bigger opponents ... but he is usually smart enough not to engage in the body on body contact. He is a great judge of a mark.

Great stat!

Stevens is one example of good recruiting thankfully.

Gonna be very interesting to see where he lines up next year.

For mine, he is in our best 22 for sure. Love his flexibility. However, we will have Bassett, Rutten, Bock down back and Gill, Welsh, Burton and hopefully Hentschel up forward.

As a starting line-up he would be invaluable on the bench, ready to swing him to virtually any area of the ground we are lacking in either height, form, or even to stretch the opposition with an additional tall up forward.

If the injury curse can back off a bit and one of our ruckmen step up, we still have the makings of a top 4 side that can challenge for the flag AND that could, and should, include the further promotion of youth both in terms of selection and positions of importance!

.

Games
Perrie 14
McGregor 9
Gill 7

For all McGregors supposed advantage in being a terrific contested mark the stats would show he is virtually no different to Perrie or Gill (though over a season Gill's ratio would result in a reasonable difference his way).

Agree, this puts Gill up with Stevens and Welsh and from his first 7 games, I am not complaining, as he gets more comfortable with the level this should improve.
