Noticed on the main board that some Sydney fans thought that Stevens wasnt that good and it was time he was moved on. I think that my club, Geelong, should look at Scott because he has some talent and when he physically matures he could be quite a handy player. He was pretty good today.

We could maybe offer you one of our fringe players like Street to back up Ball in the ruck.

Certainly wont be getting a second round draft pick for him. The clubs that would look at him would be the us, the bullies and the demons. These clubs second round picks would be late teens and early 20's. Look at last years trading period with players like Woey, N Davis, Heffernan all going for mid to high teen picks. I know they all left for different reasons but still.

If he is surplus to your needs then the nature of this business is you get moved on. The swans have a gun forward line which is fairly young so getting a spot in there for a tall forward is going to be difficult. If the kid is going to make it then he might have to leave. Look at BOlton and Cupido this year.

Street is slowly starting to come good. His ruckwork is good but he needs to do more around the ground. He would be handy on the small SCG where clearences are so vital. We have plenty of ruckman with Blake coming this year so Street is expendable. Even though he is playing first ruck at the moment.

No thanks. I saw Street last week, i wouldn't give you more than a 5th round pick for him. Very very slow. Stevens is definately worth a md 20's pick. We all know that he has talent but, as people have said, won't get the opportunity in Sydney's forward line.

I'd rather keep Stevens, I think if he puts on some weight, he could sit nicely in our defence. As for a trade, no thanks to Peter Street, espeically when we have Doyle, Meiklejohn and Roberts-Thomson, all young ruckmen.

Peter Street? Very funny.

Most Geelong fans seem to think he'll get delisted at the end of the year so your chances of getting a decent player like Stevens for him are slim, I'd suggest. Have to admit I haven't seen Street play very often, but did see him in the game last weekend against the Bulldogs and I understood why Cats supporters are not fans of his.

I think Thommoone is being very very generous in suggesting he might be worth a 5th round pick.

I daresay if Stevens will be going anywhere, it will be back to SA - and even then Adelaide has a very strong forward line, so he may not be wanted. He was good for Port Melbourne playing everywhere from defence to a wing to full forward, but hell, Bennett was great there as well, and he could never hold down a spot in the seniors. Stevens has been very disappointing at senior level, especially for such a high draft pic, and it's about time he tried his luck elsewhere.

I drove to Canberra for North v Geelong, and saw a bit of Street in the ruck (also watched this weekend's game). Street is not completely useless, but is so close to it as to make no difference at all ;)

Granted, I only saw a couple of games, but his disposals are shocking. He IS tall, and mostly provides a decent contest in the ruck, but seems out of sorts. Not worth our while in a trade, esp with Scotty.

Yep... you see, "windbag" told us that "ellessmarktoo" was actually "tully", who is "Tredrea" who was once known as "LondonSwan." But we're not as dumb as he thinks we are, and had him pegged long before he started throwing hints.

I'm going to leave out the rest of the names because my quotation mark key will get worn out otherwise.

Are you really Fatty G, its a cruel nickname Charlie. I guess thats why you cant kick a football, a very cruel response and should not have been made.

I think someone missed the message back there.

I have noticed your threads, however, attract a huge number of hits and the posts in response show how interested everyone is in your opinions. Keep up the good work.
