does this mean we'll be naming another assistant coach soon?

I hope so. Most of the guys we had last year didn't seem to be quite up to standard.

WE've had 1 assistant go and we've brought 2 in, so I'd doubt it.
What's happening with Belly? Didn't Ross want him, or did he knock the offer back?
A shame to see us miss out on his services, but good on him![]()

who's the second coach? i know sumich is one of them.
From the West today -
Meanwhile, three-times Doig medallist Peter Bell is no longer believed to be keen on joining his old club Fremantle in a coaching capacity.
Dockers football operations manager Chris Bond confirmed last month that Bell had approached the club as early as July to inquire about coaching.
Bell has not played an active role at Fremantle since his retirement in 2008 after a 286-match AFL career that also included two premierships at North Melbourne.
Fremantle have dumped Mark Harvey in favour of Lyon along with poaching former senior assistant Peter Sumich from West Coast over the past month since Bell's initial approach. Those appointments are understood to have satisfied the former Dockers captain that the club is back on track in its hunt for a flag, removing his principal reason for wanting to return.
Bell is almost certain to continue focusing on his business interests outside of football.
that's right. i don't see him as being as much involved in the box, though.
maybe ross won't need another head in there but i think harvs did.

Realistically who could we target? Is Peter German or Gary Ayres an option, how about Simon McPhee or new blood in Cam Ling?
Thanks for that. He obviously wasn't a fan of Harvey's either...
I've known Scotty for close on 30 years... he'll be an excellent coach.![]()
We should approach Dean Laidley as an Assistant
