Is this bloke more full of himself that any other player in the AFL??? I don't think I've seen someone more happy with themselves since Dermott Brereton.

For someone who is a serviceable player, but hardly a star, he definetely struts around the park (and I imagine anywhere he goes), with his head jammed fair up his own cakehole.

He's one of the better examples of the abbreviation FIGJAM that I've seen.

Don't know the guy so can't say.

Did hear an item on now defunct SEN on "your team's most important (not necessarily their best) player" and Scott Welsh was named as the one for the Crows. I thought what the???

Brendon Fevola, Lance Whitnal or many of your fine players who take their pay packet under false pretences means anything to you?

Probably doesn't really warrant a response, but I think it's fair to say that he doesn't mind himself. That said, I think you should look a little closer to home at a certain Camporeale for one. He makes Buckley look modest.

going back about a year or so ago i use to see scott out a bit whenever i went out and he was one of the most down to earth blokes playing AFL footy id seen... very unassuming and quiet. He is also good mates with a bloke i use to work with who said he is a top bloke and he hates the spotlight so perhaps you are confusing shyness with arrogance.

I've heard the same.

I don't think he's full of himself at all, and his inconsistency certainly is not connected to that. I get the impression he doesn't completely love his footy (its not his life, more just something he enjoys?), like some players do, so maybe that contributes to being inconsistent.

Also I don't agree with the bagging he is copping for his game against Geelong. He had 2 players on him every time there was a contest!

Ya know watching him on the field I thought he had a bit of an arrogant streak as well, but the few times I've had a chat with him, he's seemed like a nice bloke.

My sister is in love with him. Only reason she goes to games...yup she's one of those  And he's surrounding by hot young girls like herself, trying to get his attention. He always seems really uncomfortable and extremely shy. A lot of the pretty boys let it go to their head (Chris Ladhams), but I get the feeling Scott doesn't enjoy it so much.

Having said all that, I don't know the bloke, that's just what I've found the few times I've seen him out and about.

he is arrogant which aint necessarily bad, better than lacking any self belief at all. On his day the arrogance is warranted to. Someone like ladhams has no right to be arrogant or full of himself cause he has nothing to back it up with.

Thanks for that cunning and insightful response, crows98. How about answering the question rather that using the thread as an excuse to have a go at another club. Knob.

What did you expect when you come onto a team board and post less than flattering comments about a player. What would you do if someone did the same about Camporeale on the Carlton board. What sort of answers are you looking for? This was just a poor trolling attempt at best and got more attention than it deserved. There's 2 minutes of my life, that I'll never get back.

As apposed to what you did?

No need to answer that condescending tripe who obviously hasn’t a clue about the way his own player act in the public eye (or on the football field as well for that matter)

Scott Welsh is not arrogant nor does his give that impression to me any way, he may have just a bit of confidence in his own abilities.

At lease Scott Welsh doesn’t get on a lame ass TV show and make a ********, of him self (get a kick Fevola; FIGJAM ANYONE)

Harsh thing to say unless you know the bloke i think he is a waste of space in the regard he doesnt kick enough goals which he is employed for but to go as far as saying that he is pretty much full of himself isnt right. I think he should be dropped to the SANFL for a few weeks to get him some sort of form and if he doesnt perform by the end of the year like he should trade him off for someone who can do the job on a consistent basis instead of five games a year of kick 3s and 5s.

Ladhams a pretty boy? Um...

Ladhams, Jericho, Reilly, Welsh, Thompson, Doughty and Watts are all pretty boys and the type that girls go to games just to squeal over. It's embarrasing to us chicks that actually appreciate the game of football and not the shape of their asses.

Jericho, Reilly, Welsh and Thompson I can understand being pretty boy types.

But I would think Ladhams and Watts definitely aren't pretty boys, and I wouldn't class them as attractive either.

I think young Radar looks like a 13 year old boy yet to hit puberty.

But in general you'll find that those guys are very, very, very popular with the girls.
