Why aren''t marks worth more in this game? Surely it's harder to take a mark than to give off a handball.

The SCUFFL scoring system is by no means perfect, and as you can imagine over the 8 years it's been used in my other comp it has generated much debate.

In reality the best system would include hardball gets - reward clearences and for midfielders, contested marks for forwards and maybe backmen - spoils for backmen - inside 50's, rebounds , the list goes on.

But the moment all these stats are't easily and readily available from a single source - if at all.

The only stuff that's not there are the clearances, clangers, rebounds, and inside 50 statistics which are in the Herald-Sun whom have ownership over them.

To make things simpler why don't you just use the Herald Sun scoring or AFL.com.au's Fantasy Footy?

Contested marks are and I would think they'd be worth more in this game if the stats on them were easily accessible.

This is taking far too long!!! How long are we going to give coaches to take their pick?

I would like to suggest the following:

Everyone compiles a short list of players they would like to pickup (say 25 players). Send this to Stazza and this will be used if the league has had to wait more than 2 days for you to take your pick.

Just an idea!!!

(Anyone who thinks Stazza then has an unfair advantage, I have been in fantasy comps with him for the past 10 Years and I can tell you he has always played fairly!)

Definitely agree with you there.

I think the time limit should be shorter though, say 36 hours. That way if someone puts their pick up midday today the next person has until midnight tomorrow to make their pick.

If we take up too much time waiting for people to make their picks, we will be at the start of the season with lots of picks still to make. If we got to 3 weeks or so before the start of the season and plenty of picks to go, we could make it two picks per round or use a system similar to the one used in Football Australia.

The only other suggestion I would like to put forward is to have a session or 2 where everyone gets together online (MSN Messenger or a chatroom) and we have a live draft. If we set aside an hour or 2 we could get through atleast 6 picks each.
