ESSENDON ARE EXCITED TO LAUNCH SEAT RESALE! We know you can’t always make it to our games to cheer on the boys, so SELL YOUR SEAT to another Essendon fan through Ticketmaster. Using your ‘My Essendon FC’ online account forward your seat back to the club and we’ll take care of the rest. If your seat sells, you’ll share in the profit, with a credit applied to your account that you can use when you renew next year. Don’t let your seat go empty! Re: Essendon Seat Re-Sale System

What percentage on the money will we get from the seat? Because I'll be overseas for 2 months, and i think i miss 4 home games.

Re: Essendon Seat Re-Sale System

I'm going to miss the Essendon-Carlton game because I'm seeing Rick Ross :(

Just scan several membership cards the next time you go.

Everyone's doing it.

Re: Essendon Seat Re-Sale System

Nice...

Another almost thread worthy initiative is the Flight Finance program that's just launched on the site.

For anyone who hasn't seen it, Bombers fans can refinance through the program saving themselves money, the company running the program then makes a donation to Flight Plan (In my case it was $1,200), and you receive a 2012 Bombers jumper signed by the players....

A very good way to donate to flight plan and contribute to the club without actually reaching into our own pockets (in fact saving money for yourself).

Re: Essendon Seat Re-Sale System

I’m trying to do it for the Port game and it’s not working? Tells me my request cannot be completed?

Anyone else having issues?

Didn't work for me the first time, when I copied and pasted the email address from the how-to page, but when I manually typed it in it worked fine.

Super work EFC, fantastic initiative :thumbsu:

Re: Essendon Seat Re-Sale System

I actually think this is a great idea. I am interested in knowing what % you would get back from your seat though. I imagine it depends on your membership category?

Re: Essendon Seat Re-Sale System

Fantastic idea and I've just forwarded by ticket to the Port match. Guess there won't be huge demand for that game, considering it's an interstate side and it's Easter, but worth a try.

Re: Essendon Seat Re-Sale System

I take it that "EFC Membership" is some sort of spokesperson for the club concerning this.
If so, could you pls clarify a couple of things for me?

A Level 1 Bronze Premium seat that is resold gets the member a $12 credit. How much is it resold for thru Ticketek?
Does the buyer then buy this for the same price that they would have paid if they had bought a similar seat as a general admission reserved seat for the game?
Does the buyer get to specify that they want to buy a resold member's ticket rather than a general admission reserved seat?
If the sale price is the same as general admission reserved seat (lets say $30), the club gets $18, the L1 Bronze Premium member gets $12 via their credit. Where would the $30 have gone if the buyer had just bought the $30 general admission reserved seat (ie not using the resold member's seat)?

I understand that the resale plan is a winner all round for a game that is a sell out ie new seats can be sold and new revenue is generated.

But for other games (eg Pt Adelaide) people who buy a resold member's seat would have probably bought a seat via the normal process. Or do member resale tickets only get sold after all "general admission" (for want of a better term) get sold?

Certainly am a spokesperson.

An FAQ question system will be updated on our website in the coming weeks.

Tickets are resold through ticketmaster at the normal rate (the price advertised).

When tickets become available, there will be a link on the ticketmaster website which directs fans to the essendon resold seats. This will enable people purchasing tickets to choose between either resold seats or normal seats.

The FAQ system will be able to answer more queries once it is installed.
