Hi , do you have a second favourite team/s?
Adelaide has been up there for a few years now :)
I consider them the SA equivalent of the Eagles
And love seeing them do well (when they aren't playing us, of course), especially in light of recent events
#weflyasone

Yeah adelaide. I think its mutual too. They were happy for the victorians to lose in 92 and 94 and we were happy for them to win in 97 and 98. They play football that is fun to watch, they continually lose players such as to the expansion clubs or mummys boys going home to geelong yet they dont complain they just get on with it, admirable. And rory sloane is a beast.

I got on GWS in their first season purely so I could cheer them into their first premiership before Freo get one. But they dont show many GWS games over here which is a shame.

Adelaide are a 2nd favourite, moreso now with Pyke there and Mini-Gov. Was falling in love with the Dogs but already sick of the media pumping up their tyres and the commentary around them as if a GF berth is a sure thing.

Don't mind:
Adelaide Crows: I like the crows and voted them second, as you've said OP, the SA equivalent of the Eagles. Had a great rivalry in the 90's. Seem to be a very professional club, and have mostly been enjoyable to watch.
Brisbane: Same goes really. Liked their premiership years.
Sydney: Really respect them as a club, and the mid-2000's rivalry was something special.

As for the other clubs...
Hate: Essenscum, Carlton and Collingwood are in the same bracket. Vic scum.
Fremantle: Ever since they came onto the scene, they've done their best to be the antithesis of us (i.e. unprofessional and unsuccessful).

Respect:
Hawks, Geelong, North (mostly for what they did in the 90's, their current fans are a bunch of sooks).

Irrelevant: Melbourne and Richmond- haven't done anything of note for a long time, and don't look likely to anytime soon. One of my favourite facebook groups is called "I hate it when I'm kicking the footy around and Richmond try and recruit me." Sums it up really.
GCS and GWS- New, exciting, and on the verge of doing something in the comp. Although I'm a bit annoyed they got all of the good draft picks while we were on the bottom of the ladder, haven't been around long enough to feel anything really.

Port, Saints and the Bulldogs I'm mixed about. I used to hate the Dogs, particularly their dirty, sniping Terry Wallace teams, but then they did nothing for a long time and I stopped caring about them. Quite enjoy what they're dishing up these days.

Too young to remember 92 (and only *just* remember 94 unfortunately) but otherwise completely agree , especially with the bolded bit :D
I'd like to think it's mutual too, despite 2005-6....
I hope we can go all the way this year (like 91 =>92, and 2005 => 6) but if things don't work out for us , I hope Pyke can take them to a premiership. For Walshy.

Always liked the Crows, one of my earliest times actually going to the footy was when a Crows fan who was billeting me took me along. Definitely our SA equivalent.

Right now I'm also enjoying watching the Bulldogs play, though I wasn't such a fan of them a while back. Never really liked GCS/GWS, just seemed like there was a bit of a bandwagon effect there but GWS have evolved a little. GCS seems a bit of a mess and it hurts to see all of the WA recruits who could have bolstered our club go nowhere with them (admittedly, that's probably better than them going somewhere with another team).

Too much Crowbot love in here, I must be in the minority as I have always had a healthy dislike for them.
It's all good. Love the crows. But I often feel like I'm in the minority when it comes to the Bulldogs..... (who also seem to get a lot of love)

Used to be Brisbane back in the day because I liked their ex eagle players gastev, zanotti and maybe 1 or 2 others.
Now its gws, they have a great young team

It does change year to year depending on team make up and whoever the media make you dislike. As said previously, was liking the dogs but not so much now.

I'll want certain teams to beat other teams.

Not minding Adelaide this year coz of Pyke, also dont mind Bombers coz of Woosh (COME AT ME)

Crows for me. Won the local footy tipping back in 97 and was the first grand final i got to see live. Was a big fan of roo, mcloud, modra and jarman. That and still think they have been in the best afl ad of all time. Who are the cows?

In years gone past i was quite fond of richmond (back when richo was playing) but i hate them now. Bunch of thuggish spuds.
Used to despise the dogs back in the day but love watching them play now.

Absolutely hate the hawks, sydney and fremantle. They have always pushed the envelope in regards to thuggery and they always push the rules. Whether it be schooled to throw more than handball, deliberately dropping the ball the moment they get touched or in the cases of sydney and the hawks seemingly getting a free ride at the tribunal (even freo last year with fyfe). I hate all of them passionately.

Hawthorn sort of want them to win 4 but not against us. Would be a sigh to see on game day. Want to see how big footy and media react.

They have a lot of good blokes like hodge and Mitchell.

They are really a family club unlike Richmond. The supporters suck and so do they. Supporter are sucking Hardwick dick still

Not sure if you are being sarcastic or not but Hodge is the anti-good bloke on and off the field.

This thread is just dangerous... Great opportunity to lose all credibility on the Eagle's board by choosing the "wrong" second team ;) Looking at you Geelong, Hawks, Richmond (pretty much most Victorian teams) people.

Adelaide is the safe bet.
