Yep, watch the "meat". Try and see how they slaughter the dogs too. Strung by necks for 5 mins and beaten while alive to make them more tender. Takes a lot more than electronics and concrete to drag cultures out of the 10th century. Barbarians.
Best way to see SK is from 30000 feet in a Stealth on the way to drop something off in NK.

Overrated poor man's Tokyo.

Hope you enjoy it.

I gather you're not a fan of Korea or Korean culture? ;)

I agree with you on the dogs, I remember during the World Cup, the ABC showed a feature on the cruelty that some subject the poor dogs to before eating them, inhumane and despicable, I don't condone it at all.

I have been surprised by the general disorderly nature of housing and streets, I thought everything would be very neat and structured but it makes it all interesting. It is an interesting place because despite their technological advances, they still are behind the West in many aspects particualrly in regards to women, men are definitely top here. But, all cultures have their good and their bad, and from my experience so far Korea's a nice enough place with nice enough people like everywhere else, just different.

I'm an animal activist of sorts. So spending as much time as I have in Asia (back in Melb for a while), it can be a bit too much. But two countries, China and SK, make my blood boil...bears, monkeys, dogs, cats etc. I could live with the consumption (though I can distinguish b/w a Cow and a Dog with respect to human interaction), but the treatment is abhorent. Caused China some angst with their WTO accession it was so bad. But there are genuine attempts in China to "get with the programme" re animal treatment. SK mock it and laugh..."myob". Koreans are generally great. But SK is overrated as a place, and this hiding behind the vale of "culture" doesn't cut it with respect to the goings on in that place. BTW, I have watched in shock as Japanese men go the feel in trains.
