I'm not sure what all of you think, but I reckon this kid has some massive potential. Every time he touches the ball something good usually comes of it. He's got those silky evasive skill. Now he's not without fault, he needs to learn to read the game more, he can sometimes do too much and get caught.

But all in all I actually think we've got a winner on our hands. Kid can run, he can kick and he picks his targets well. Anyone else agree or do some of you disagree.

OFF TOPIC: Sinclair may be the worst disposal I've ever seen play AFL footy, how does this spud get a game under Nathan Buckley, does he have dirt on bucks?

Spot on. This kids got talent. Some of the touches in the last qtr were a real highlight especially the outside of the foot pass to Cloke.

Not sure what Sinclair is doing getting a game as well. Disposal is equivalent to the skills of Mick Gayfer.

"The Gardener" looked very good with fresh legs when he came on late in the 3rd as the game was starting to slow down.
Sinclair made a lot of mistakes, but at times of high pressure and he just needs to work on his confidence and decision making. He was not the only one with a case of the fumbles, Dawes was all thumbs today, and he has no excuses as he's becoming a senior player.

Seeds was good, and has been in each game he's played. I'd like him to be getting more game time though. Seeing as he will be the freshest of all that played today, I'd put my money on him starting.

Sinkers gets games for his hustle. He can be a good kick at times, similar to Swan. Though we don't all go bashing Swanny do we? His role is particularly important since Bally's gone down.

Astounding that, given Swanny's the reigning Brownlow medallist. If they are vaguely similar in their kicking then obviously that puts them on an identical value to the team.

Super Sub Seeds.:thumbsu:

He's played 3 games this year, and been the starting sub every time.

Surely he's earned a full game on Wednesday now.

Amazing though, he hasn't even played too many games in the VFL, as he missed a large chunk of last year with injuries. But the last few games of the 2011 VFL season showed what he can do, he will make it as a senior footballer, it's assured.:)

He has some class I reckon. You can't buy or fake that.

I like him quite a bit. He strikes me as a kid who will keep improving in bounds with experience. Like some more weight on him too but I'm sre that will gradually come.

.:)

The fact that he has been the sub 3 times makes me suspect that the match committee really like him, but don't think he's physically up to 4 quarters yet. Personally I think that we should be using the sub rule for player development and hope that this is what is being done. Expose youngsters who are not quite ready to the pace of senior footy without expecting them to last 4 quarters. I'd quite like to see a few of our not quite ready youngsters rotated through the substitute role.

I don't think he's very Pendles-like... perhaps more similar to Heath Shaw for mine.

Anyway, I was encouraged by what I saw in the VFL last year, further encouraged when I saw he added a little size during the pre-season (which I really thought he'd struggle with), and now he seems to be going on with it during the H & A stuff.

Could really be something in a couple of years, and if he's handy for now that's a good result.

The thing that really makes Seedsman stand out is that of all the young guys we've brought in this year, he has a real touch of class.
He is clearly confident in his abilities, but he is not really used to the pace at the moment. Looks to be quick, quite a good kick and has decent hands (although he dropped a pud today!)

As much as people are saying he's outside, which I agree at the moment he is, he doesn't mind the contested ball either. Doesn't skirt it when it's his turn to go. 12 disposals in 30% game time, 4 contested, plus a clearance and 2 goal assists (equal most). I like him. Plus he's a local boy. :D

I like the fact he was drafted deep (no76) and is a Magpie tragic.

Must be loving pulling on the B&W stripes, and to get a game alongside other tragics like Shaw and Johnno.

Credit where due, looks like Hine has got the mix just right with him, because he was a bit of a surprise on draft day, many saying he's very small and will take a while, yet now looks the part.

Maybe it shows his mental strength, which augurs well for the future.

And in adding to other comments here, his foot skills are good, and a few preseasons will see him hold his position a lot more. Just needs time to learn the pace of AFL, and his own limitations in terms of baulking before he starts to command a regular spot.

I see him at about position 25-28 on our list at the moment, maybe that's over-rating him, but it means that he'll play quite a few more matches before the year is out.

I'd love to see him get the experience of playing Anzac Day, even though I fear it's the sort of move that will make us vulnerable to defeat - backing kids has its consequences short-term, but benefits long-term.

Happy Seedsman has made the progression well from VFL to AFL. Hoping we see more born and bred Magpies, and with Moore and Stewart on the horizon, maybe that will happen!
