Well it seems we dont have any players returning from injuries this. The only possibilities of coming into the side I guess are Walker, McKernen, Griffin, Young and Armstrong.
Would love to see Walker come in for Burton. Although I reckon this will only happen if Burton is out with an injury.
The other main possibility would be McKernen or Griffin come in as 2nd ruck allowing Tippett to play permanent forward against a hapless Richmond defense. However a tall would surely have to come out of the side. Better not be Davis. I cant see them dropping Stevens. To be honest I cant see them dropping Burton either if not injured. They probably want as many senior players out there as possible. So I think they'll continue with Tippett as 2nd ruck. Hopefully Walker comes in for Burton and can play FF when Tippett is rucking.
IMO cannot play Maric and Griffin in the same team. It is one or the other. The game is too fast to have two big slow guys in the 22, limiting rotations and offering no flexibility in other positions. Maric >>> Griffin at the moment. Sorry Griff but you've had so many chances to be number 1 ruck and you blew it everytime. Sometimes we persist too long with soft non competitive footballers (eg Jericho).
It seems Tippett will probably play Forward/ruck until Sellar is available. Of course when that happens its gonna make it even harder for Walker to get in the side, because he'd be behind 3 other permanet forwards Tippett, Burton and Stevens. Walker is a real chance of missing the next 10+ games unless there is an injury to one of these guys or if Davis' form drops and Stevens has to go back.
The positive note this week is that Jaensch gets another crack. I would really love him to play so well that he cant possibly be dropped when Mackay, Danger and Knights return. Then other guys will have to get dropped instead.
Please make one change this week;
Walker in, Burton out.
ps I was all for Burton staying on this year but as the icing in the cake. Certainly didnt want him to stay if he was gonna keep Walker out of the team.
