Hard to separate some of the guys last night, though Corey would have to be BOG. Not only with his posessions, but 11 tackles. Hard to beat that.

Joel was great though. We are so spoilt with talent at the moment. Isn't that great?

That is the amazing thing about him. Look at the Gf and his compsure under pressure in the biggest game. You hate to put the moz on a kid, but he must be a future captain.

Selwood was great; Smithy was BOG; don't underate Kelly's game - played 4 quarters - he is maturing as a player and is a terrific "B" midfielder

The way he maniacally attacks the ball is just a sight for sore eyes. He's not always polished but you know he'll give his all and his ability to break tackles is outstanding for a young player.

Gaz still far ahead of anyone in the team in his ability to dish out while under pressure, though.

I laughed at Bruces comment to Bucks..."How can a midfield go from average one year to the best in the comp the next?" The truth is our midfield has always been under-rated prior to last year. Joel Selwood has really helped lift our midfield to an elite status and I agree with bucks when he said that our B list of midfielders is pretty good too and that means that we are able to maintain the pressure when we rotate our A grade players on to the bench. He has a very good footy brain Bucks.

I think we should call Joel 'Popescu' in honour of our club benefactor of so many years, Alex Popescu. Great man, and a timber merchant. For the slow ones...he sold wood.

Joel's game last week against Freo was outstanding... in fact, I'd go so far as to say it was close to Gaz's game against Sydney.
When things were tight, and no-one else was standing up, he put everything on the line and turned the game, twice.
2nd best performance of the year for mine.
