Joel Selwood has no 'prime'. 'Prime' has a 'Joel Selwood' phase of its career when it is at the peak of its powers.

There has never been a player come in and impact senior footy as early as Joel did, not that I've seen anyway.

Amazing to think the guy's only 22, yet has achieved so much in his career to date.

Luke Hodge on AFL Game Day said on Sunday it's probably been the best first 100 games played in history. Hard to argue with that.

I totally agree with Hodgies comment above...especially playing in a team that has never finished below third in those hundred games!!! Well done Joel on your milestone and hope the boys give you a win on Friday so you can celebrate over the weekend!

A true champion of the game. His 100th game will be one of many highlights shown in his retirement tape (though that won't happen for many a year). His 1st & 4th quarters were simply outstanding and you can see the respect and 'love' that his team-mates have for him. Many Hawthorn supporters bemoan the fact we did not pick him up in the draft - but I am a great believer that players & clubs bring out the best in each other. Geelong were able to provide Selwood with a strong midfield that enabled him to mature & develop (very quickly) into a fantastic player. Congrats on the 100th game and may there be many more milestones for the young man.

wouldn't worry about that rabbi, I mean the amount of time Collingwood managed to spend over in the USA (Arizona) for the pre-season and the amount of money they invest into sports science etc....wouldn't be surprised if WADA have targeted a few of their players especially those midfielders. I mean they have had a dramatic rise in performance over a short period of time

astonishing game from Selwood, he was the guy that just stepped it up and it was almost Judd-esque the way he went for every ball. Even when the ball went out of bounds he was bumping and shoving Collingwood players letting them know that it's his stage
