Well no the Swans have already ruled him out this week then reconfirmed that in the same article.

Maybe in the Prelim or GF if they make it that far (Obviously we all hope not).

Yeah I realized my post was deceptive so already edited.

And I am the one confused, Walsh may have use the term first, but others have adopted the same phase, Even Port have used the term this year. Not too many teams use the term tag they now use Stoppers, Coolers, run with players etc.
And Pyke has used the term Cooler in an interview with Rowie, don't remember who brought up the term first in that interview but it was used.
Don't necessarily doubt you, but have not heard anyone voluntarily use the term cooler aside from Walsh. Maybe you can link to the interview if available so I can have a listen

Our defence and forward line is great but our midfield is a problem. The numbers on the weekend clouded how bad we were around the ball. A lack of pressure once the footy escaped the initial contest was apparent. Our inability to take clean possesions away from the centre square was obvious. Time and time again wells and co drove it forward only to be quelled by cheney, smith, lever and talia. On the small dimensions of the scg, centre clearances become key to winning the game. Our defence can only stop so much. Stopping Franklin or minimising his influence is massive. Sydney will win alot of contested ball if we match them in that and tackling pressure we can win. Our midfield core of sloane, crouchs, thompson and douglas need to lift their games. This is where we win or lose the game imo.

Hasn't it been that way for most of the year though?

I would've loved to have brought in millera or knight for McGovern to nullify their midfield this week. I feel we are a little top heavy, and need extra midfield flair. Can't happen, won't happen, so my post is no more than a personal vent.

Dream team points? Cmon

It is a better 'measure' than 'Thommo played sh$t'.

It captures more than just kicks & handballs. It rewards tackles and punishes fees against. Anyone getting close to 100 points will be in the best 1/2 dozen players on the ground. So on what measure do you have Thommo and Lyon being dropped if you don't use Dream Team Points?

Well posted last week that Cameron did not do enough to be in team and guess what again after a ok 1st qtr went totally missing again .
We need competitors and really C C apart from speed offers not much and due to size cannot even provide a contest in air etc and just does not offer leads very often. With JJ back to not crashing packs etc there are not crumbs we were getting and if are Eddie there to do so, and JJ s poor form lets McGovern safe again.
Think what Knight or Beech could offer in a tough slug out game we will get against Swans.
Really if as a forward could not star against that Roos team well don't when you are.
Cameron is a massive competitor and does plenty. He isn't there to lead he closes the opposition down better than anyone and carries the ball with electric speed. He wont get 25+ but he is more than doing what he is paid for.

Not sure if serious?

I think he needs to close the gap between being awesome and having no impact.

I think he was awesome in that first quarter last week, but didn't even notice him the rest of the game, defensive our otherwise.

I have a feeling he falls into the trap of concentratinh too much on the defensive side and isn't in a position to exploit his pace on offence.

I think he needs to find the balance and know when to do what.

Of course he is nowhere near the finished product agreed. But he is nowhere near being left out as neil craig crowing wishes for every week.

He is a weapon albeit an inconsistent one at this stage.

Their opponents DT points?

Crows were pretty good around the stoppages, had a few more cleaner contests than North and the ones they lost they made it hard for North to capitalise on, Pressure acts look good on replay, Don't have the count but looks like we dominated in that area.
